RIMC admissions open for July 2026 Term; apply by October 15, 2025
Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], August 17 (ANI): The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, has announced the admission procedure for the July 2026 term. Completed applications must reach the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, Chandigarh, on or before October 15, 2025, according to a press release issued by the Information and Public Relations Department, official spokesperson of the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, informed that the written entrance examination for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, for the July 2026 Term will be conducted on December 7, 2025, at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector-15, spokesperson further added that the prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained either by online payment through the official website or by sending a written request with a Demand Draft in favour of 'The Commandant, RIMC Fund."Completed applications must be sent to the Directorate of Defence Services Welfare, Punjab, Sainik Bhawan, Sector 21-D, Chandigarh, and should reach by October 15, 2025. Applications received after the due date will not be further mentioned that for detailed information and application guidelines, candidates may visit the official websites and often referred to as the 'Nursery of Leadership", is an Inter-Services institute and a Category 'A' establishment under the Ministry of Defence, alongside institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla; Officers' Training Academy, Chennai; and Indian Military Academy, College offers public school education to students specially selected through an all-India competitive examination. Captain still in Jammu forefront: Father of Kirti Chakra recipient
1 2 Aizawl: Saihmingliana Sailo, the proud father of Captain Lalrinawma Sailo who has been selected to receive the Kirti Chakra, India's second-highest peacetime gallantry honour, said on Saturday that his son is still in the forefront at Jammu and hardly communicable. Sailo told TOI that the names of Kirti Chakra recipients were announced on the eve of the Independence Day and the award will be distributed in Nov in Delhi. He said Captain Sailo led a team of commandos during the Operation Sindoor in their sector and destroyed a camp of the terrorists inside Pakistan by using drones while he also busted a terror group inside Kashmir earlier. Captain Sailo of the 4 PARA (special forces) has been selected for the Kirti Chakra in recognition of his exceptional courage during high-risk operations. A permanent resident of Chanmari in Aizawl city, Captain Sailo is an alumnus of the Rashtriya Indian Military College, the National Defence Academy, and the Indian Military Academy. He is only the second Mizo to receive the award, following Subedar Chalhnuna of the Assam Rifles. Governor and former Army Chief Gen Vijay Kumar Singh, CM Lalduhoma, home minister K Sapdanga and sports minister Lalnghinglova Hmar congratulated the captain.
