Congress conspiring with Pakistan: Uttar Pradesh Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 1 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya slammed Congress, accusing it of demoralising the army and stating that it would have to pay a political price for the act. 'Congress is conspiring with Pakistan... From surgical strikes to 'Operation Sindoor', the statements of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge have hurt the sentiments of 140 crore people of the country,' Maurya told ANI on Sunday. 'This is the language that demoralises the army, and they do not realise that they will have to pay such a huge political price for using this language... It is our and our army's resolve that Operation Sindoor is not over yet,' he added. Meanwhile, Malook Nagar of Rashtriya Lok Dal has criticised Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other Opposition leaders for repeatedly questioning the government over the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan. Nagar asked why the Opposition continues to raise questions related to Pakistan, and suggested that they should focus on the country as a whole instead. Nagar criticised Kharge for seeking clarity on US President Donald Trump's claim of brokering the cessation of hostilities, saying, 'The Opposition should prioritise national interests over Pakistan-specific queries.' 'The Pakistani Minister is crying about India destroying their camps, and the political leaders of India are questioning the mission's objectives.' Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday demanded a special session of Parliament concerning Operation Sindoor, alleging that the government had 'misled the nation' and instead of clarifying US President Donald Trump's assertions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'is on an election blitz, taking personal credit for the valour of the armed forces.' In a post on X, Kharge referred to remarks made by the Chief of Defence Staff during an interview and demanded an independent expert committee's comprehensive review of the country's defence preparedness. Nagar defended Operation Sindoor, questioning AAP Leader Sanjay Singh's comments that allegedly insulted the mission's objective. 'Why does he keep repeating the same questions and insulting the mission? Love for the country should be the priority, not political power.', Nagar said. (ANI)

Congress speaking like 'Pakistan mouthpiece': RLD MP Malook Nagar

Rashtriya Lok Dal MP Malook Nagar on Sunday criticised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's statement on Operation Sindoor and dismissed the party as a "Pakistan mouthpiece" indulging in petty politics. "Since April 22, all the questions you've asked are the same as the questions that Pakistanis ask," Malook told IANS. "When you ask questions, it becomes breaking news in Pakistan and appears as headlines in their newspapers," he said. The RLD leader said there was no scope for doubt in the minds of Congress leaders as Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had himself confirmed facts about the Operation. "Now you have got all the answers. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has gone to various countries around the world, crying and complaining that they have destroyed our airstrips, damaged our facilities, and caused harm repeatedly..." he said. Calling upon Congress leaders to keep the nation first and avoid indulging in petty politics, he said, "The Congress should not issue wild statements just because it is losing its political ground." Nagar also hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for Operation Sindoor and giving a free hand to the armed forces to hit terror hubs deep inside the enemy nation. The RLD leader's attack on the Congress follows Kharge's remarks in the wake of Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan's statement on "aircraft loss" during the recent hostilities and rejecting Pakistan's claims of downing six Indian jets as "absolutely incorrect". Kharge on Saturday had demanded that the Centre convene a special session of Parliament following General Chauhan's remarks in an interview in Singapore. The Congress leader also called for a comprehensive independent review of India's defence preparedness, akin to the Kargil Review Committee. General Chauhan had categorically dismissed Pakistan's claims in the interview, saying that the claims are "absolutely incorrect". Meanwhile, previously, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti, Director General of Air Operations, had also stated, "Losses are a part of combat", while affirming that all Indian Air Force pilots had returned safely.

‘Opposition is welcome but no room for insult'

Lucknow: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) national general secretary Anil Dubey on Sunday attacked the Samajwadi Party for objectionable remarks against deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak . "Politics runs on dialogue, not abuse. Opposition is welcome, but insult is not," he said, asking the SP functionaries to exercise restraint in their criticism. Attacking the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for questioning the govt over the role of the United States in ceasefire in Operation Sindoor , he said it was an "insult to India's military might". "The armed forces have proved their strength globally, and this is the time to honour their courage, not undermine it. This is not the time to raise doubts about our army's capabilities," Dubey said. He was in Sultanpur to expand the party's organisational base. Hundreds of students, youth, farmers, and women joined the RLD under Gyan Prakash Pandey. He said RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary joined the NDA to ensure the interests of farmers and youth were addressed. "As skill development minister, he is holding job fairs across the country to provide employment to youth. Farmers, too, are receiving better prices for their produce," he said.

India's Muslim population enough to defeat Pakistan: RLD's Malook Nagar

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Malook Nagar strongly criticised Pakistan on Saturday in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, saying that the Muslim population of India are enough to defeat Pakistan. His remarks came as a response to Pakistan's Defence Minister admitting to the country's role in supporting terrorist groups. "Out of 146 crore people, about 25-26 crore are Muslims, and the Muslims of our country are enough to defeat Pakistan... A befitting reply will be given to this in the coming times," Nagar told ANI. Reacting to Pakistan's Defence Minister admitting that Pakistan has been funding and backing terrorist groups, the RLD leader said that the whole world stands with India. "Pakistan's minister has admitted in front of the whole world that they promote terrorism. Today, the whole world has said that it stands with our country, and it will be proved to the whole world that in the coming times, Pakistan will also become like Afghanistan," he added. In a video clip, Pakistan's defence minister is in a conversation with Sky News's Yalda Hakim, admitting Pakistan's involvement with terror groups. Hakim asks him, " But you do admit, you do admit, sir, that Pakistan has had a long history of backing and supporting and training and funding these terrorist organisations?" Khwaja Asif, in his reply, says, "We have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about 3 decades... and the west, including was a mistake, and we suffered for that, and that is why you are saying this to me. If we had not joined the war against the Soviet Union and later on the war after 9/11, Pakistan's track record was unimpeachable." Asif's statement lays bare the fact that Pakistan, for many years, has been harbouring these terror groups. Following the terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, the Central government announced several diplomatic measures, such as closing the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari, suspending the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) for Pakistani nationals, giving them 40 hours to return to their country, and reducing the number of officers in the High Commissions on both sides. India also halted the Indus Waters Treaty signed in 1960 in the wake of the Pahalgam attack.
