Canada, Northern US States to Witness Rare Northern Lights on April 16

Rana Atef According to Space website, there is a rare double solar blast, creating G2 geomagnetic storms towards the Earth. These solar storms can create several auroras across the northern parts of North America tomorrow. The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) said that a geomagnetic storm will cause northern lights on April 16, as two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are expected to strike. These CMEs were launched by a rare double eruption of solar magnetic filaments on April 12 and April 13. The CMEs could lead to moderate geomagnetic storm conditions, increasing the chances of visible auroras in Canada and the northern US states like New York. Space Weather Physicist Tamitha Skov wrote in a post on X: "These #solarstorms will likely travel slowly, but they are dense and thus could pack a decent punch!" He added: "Still waiting for coronagraph data to inform model runs, but impact could be late April 15 or early April 16." According to NOAA's three-day space weather outlook, geomagnetic activity is expected to increase late on April 15 or early April 16. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... Egypt's Agricultural Exports Rise by 9.3% in 2024, Driven by Surge in Bean Shipments

Ahmed Emam Egypt's agricultural sector saw a strong boost in exports in 2024, with official data revealing a 9.3% increase in total agricultural exports compared to the previous year. According to the latest report from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egypt's agricultural exports reached approximately $4.131 billion by the end of 2024, up from $3.78 billion in 2023. This marks a growth of around $351.91 million year-on-year. Leading the surge in agricultural exports were shipments of regular beans, which more than doubled in value. CAPMAS reported that bean exports brought in approximately $300.7 million in 2024, compared to $134.84 million in 2023 — a significant increase of $165.86 million, or 123%. The growth reflects Egypt's expanding role in global agricultural markets and highlights the success of export-oriented strategies in key crop sectors, according to Al - Arabia Business. It also suggest that improvements in agricultural practices, export logistics, and market access have all contributed to the positive trend. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 .. Egypt's Bond Market Awaits Central Bank Decision Amid Interest Rate Speculations

Ahmed Emam Mohamed El-Naggar, Head of Debt Instruments at NIR Consultancy, stated that Egypt's financial markets are in a state of anticipation as investors await the Central Bank of Egypt's (CBE) upcoming decision on interest rates. The speculation follows significant economic shifts since the Egyptian pound was floated in March 2024 and interest rates were hiked to record highs exceeding 27%. In an interview with *Al Arabiya Business*, El-Naggar noted that bond yields have seen relative stability in recent weeks. This has raised questions among investors about whether the CBE will consider a rate cut following a decline in inflation, or if it will maintain current rates in alignment with the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy stance. He added that foreign investors have shown strong interest in short-term debt instruments, aiming to capitalize on any potential future changes in yields. El-Naggar also pointed out that market expectations lean toward the central bank holding interest rates steady in its April meeting, with a possible rate cut in June 2025. Such a move would support the government's efforts to finance upcoming social spending packages and close projected funding gaps. Over the past week, yields on local debt instruments in Egypt have declined between 1% and 2.5%, driven by strong foreign demand for Egyptian treasury bills and bonds. This demand has been evident both in primary auctions conducted by the Ministry of Finance and in secondary market trading on the Egyptian Exchange. Specifically, the yield on three-month treasury bills dropped to 27.9%, down from 30.6% two weeks earlier. Yields on six-month and nine-month bills also fell to 26.1% and 25.8%, respectively, compared to 27.2% and 27% in the previous period. The upcoming CBE meeting is being closely monitored by investors for signs of a potential shift in monetary policy that could shape Egypt's debt market trajectory for the rest of the year. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 .. OPEC+ to Increase Oil Production by 411,000 Bpd in May

Taarek Refaat OPEC+ countries agreed on Thursday to proceed with a plan to increase oil production by 411,000 barrels per day in May, an unexpected move that sent oil prices further lower. Oil prices, which had already fallen more than 4% following US President Donald Trump's announcement of tariffs on trading partners, fell, with Brent crude falling more than 5% to near $70 a barrel after the OPEC+ statement. OPEC+ were scheduled to increase their production by 135,000 barrels per day in May as part of a plan to gradually ease their latest production cuts. However, after a virtual meeting of the eight countries, OPEC announced that production would increase by 411,000 barrels per day in May, citing "continued strong market fundamentals and a positive market outlook." The organization added that this decision includes "pre-scheduled increases for May, in addition to two monthly increases," noting that these increases may be "paused or reversed depending on changing market conditions." This increase is part of a plan agreed upon by Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman, which aims to gradually ease the 2.2 million barrels per day (bpd) production cut that came into effect this month. OPEC+ confirmed that the 8 countries will meet on May 5 to decide on June production. The group will also continue implementing additional production cuts of 3.65 million bpd until the end of next year to support the market. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 ..
