Acting is a very demanding job, says Chidambaram
Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram has taken on his first full-fledged acting role—technically his debut—in Oru Durooha Sahacharyathil, the upcoming film by Nna Thaan Case Kodu director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. Chidambaram describes the film as a 'fun family entertainer' and said, 'I worked as a child artiste in serials and later had a small scene in Kammattipadam, in which I was also an assistant director. So technically, this is my debut.' While he says he can't reveal much about the film, the director shares, 'I was travelling in Africa when I got a call from Ratheesh. I didn't think much and said, 'Sure, I'll try.' Then, he sent me the script. I read it after I got back from the trip, and that's when it really hit me—I had committed to a film. By then, it was too late to back out. But because I trust the director and know I'm in good hands, I went ahead with it.' When asked about his acting experience, he said, 'It's a very demanding job. I think I'm better off as a director,' he adds with a laugh. Kunchacko Boban , Dileesh Pothan and Sajin Gopu also play key roles in the film.

'Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil' first look is out now! Kunchacko Boban in a twisted comedy
The first look of 'Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil' was unveiled on Saturday, featuring a striking ensemble led by Kunchacko Boban , Dileesh Pothan, Aavesham breakout Sajin Gopu, and 'Manjummel Boys' director Chidambaram. Helmed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, the film marks his latest collaboration with Kunchacko following 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu' and its spinoff 'Sureshanteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hrudayahariyaya Pranayakadha. ' Kunchacko also steps in as co-producer alongside Listin Stephen. Psychological comedy in the making In a prior exchange with us, director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval revealed his intention to craft a psychological comedy with 'Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil.' The film features Arjun Sethu on cinematography, Manoj Kannoth on editing, and music by Dawn Vincent. Joining the ensemble cast are Maradona's Sharanya R, along with Sudheesh, Rajesh Madhavan, and Divya Vishwanath. Upcoming highlights and recent success Kunchacko Boban was last seen in Jithu Ashraf's box office hit 'Officer on Duty,' a cop thriller that garnered widespread commercial success.
