Lawyers' Association election postponed to 19 Aug
Kanpur: The annual general election of the Lawyers Association, which was originally scheduled for August 11, will now take place on August 19 at DAV Degree College between 8am and 6pm.
Chairman of the election-conducting Elders Committee, Ravi Mohan Katiyar, on Saturday stated that the committee took into consideration letters sent by the police administration and DAV College management. The police administration informed that they could provide police force on August 19, while DAV College management said the college could be available on the same date.
The chairman mentioned that all 74 contesting candidates have been informed about the change of date. Meanwhile, election campaigning by the candidates has reached its peak. From pamphlets to mobile messages, they are utilising every possible medium to contact and impress member advocates.
