Police nab JJMP rebel with arms and ammunition in Gumla
Gumla: A Jharkhand Jan Multi Parishad (JJMP) rebel, carrying Rs 5 lakh reward, was nabbed by joint forces of district police and Jharkhand Jaguar from a forest near Ghaghra village within the limits of Bishunpur police station in Gumla on Tuesday.

The forces seized a 303 rifle, 200 rounds of bullets, 150 live cartridges of 7.62 mm, and other articles, including three mobile phones and a rucksack, from his possession.
Gumla SP Haris Bin Zaman said, "Following a specific input about the movement of JJMP extremists led by its chief, Ravidra Yadav, a joint team of the district police and Jaguar Assault Group (AG) 39, led by Gumla SDPO Suresh Prasad, was formed to conduct a raid in the area.
Forces saw some armed men sitting in a nearby forest. Seeing the forces zeroing in, they started fleeing, but one of them was caught."
The nabbed ultra was identified as Firoj Ansari (35), a resident of Rubed village in Jobang police station of Lohardaga district. He carried reward of Rs 5 lakh over his head. The joint team seized a 303 rifle and its 200 bullets, along with bullets of a different bore, from him.
The SP said, "Ansari has 11 criminal cases against him with Jobang and Senha police stations in Lohardaga, Latehar police station, and Kurumgarh and Chainpur police stations of Gumla district."
