Tanuj Virwani calls working on 'Rana Naidu 2' a phenomenal experience: 'I am cautiously optimistic'

Actor Tanuj Virwani , who will be seen in "Rana Naidu" Season 2, has been a "massive fan" of the first season. He said he had a phenomenal experience shooting and that he was cautiously optimistic about the second installment of the series. Tanuj said: "The experience has been truly phenomenal. I am a massive fan of the first season. In fact, I used to keep pestering Karan Anshuman who is also my showrunner for all 3 seasons of Inside Edge. I used to tell him to give me a role as I really wanted to be a part of his special universe." He added: "It doesn't matter what he wrote for me as I always knew he would write something nice for me. Cut to a few months, he was back. He said that he's developing something and he thought I would be fit for that part. So he asked me to catch up and discuss more. When I heard the narration, I loved what he had written for me and I knew I could bring something different to the table. I am always excited to try new and different stuff." The actor said that when there are "handful of scenes" and the "role" is pivotal to the larger narrative, "it can freeze you off the shackles." "When you are the main lead in a show or a film, there's more added responsibility on your shoulders and maybe that chance to experiment and freedom is a little less. But, when you are in a handful of scenes and your role is very important to the larger narrative, it can freeze you off the shackles." He added: "That's what this role of Chirag Oberoi in ' Rana Naidu Season 2 ' offered me. I am cautiously optimistic and I hope the audience enjoys watching it as much as I enjoyed being a part of it." Talking about other cast members, he said: "We also have some fantastic additions. Kriti Kharbanda and I are playing brothers and sisters, Rajat Kapoor is playing our father. There's a very interesting dynamic between the three of us and I truly can't wait for 13th June." "Rana Naidu" Season 2 is set to stream on Netflix from June 13. "Rana Naidu" is an action crime drama television series directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. It is the official adaptation of the 2013 American crime drama TV series Ray Donovan. It stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati (as the title character), Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra and Surveen Chawla in lead roles. The series was released on 10 March 2023.

Sunil Grover introduces multiverse of 'Naidu's' to Rana Naidu star Rana Daggubati

In a surprise crossover, Netflix shared a banter-filled promotional video that brought together Rana Daggubati's brooding on-screen persona, Rana Naidu, and Sunil Grover's signature comic chaos with his alter ego, Shana Naidu. Grover, as Shana Naidu, introduces Rana to several other variants of his character, in what can only be described as hilariously bizarre. The second season will release on June about the collaboration, Sunil Grover said, 'Rana Daggubati and I in the same frame? Even I didn't see that coming. 'Rana Naidu' is this intense, gritty world full of power moves, family drama, and action, and then I walked in with my own brand of chaos. It felt like two completely different worlds crashing together - and somehow, it just clicked.'Take a look at the promo video: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) Rana Daggubati added, 'When Sunil Grover shows up, you just know things are about to get unpredictable. Shana Naidu, Kirana Naidu, Janana Naidu: Watch Sunil Grover's desperate attempts to enter Rana Naidu season 2

As fans gear up for season 2 of Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma's action thriller show Rana Naidu, Sunil Grover 'auditioned' to play the lead role in the new instalment, much to the chagrin of Rana Daggubati. On Tuesday, Netflix India dropped a hilarious video 'Rana Naidu vs Shana Naidu: Who will make it to season 2?' The video starts with Daggubati performing action stunts in typical Rana Naidu fashion, before someone abruptly calls 'Cut!' When Daggubati angrily asks, 'Who called for cut,' Grover pops up dressed exactly like Daggubati, in a white shirt, dark suit, and even sporting the same moustache and beard. He introduces himself as Shana Naidu, the 'asli hero' of season 2. Grover keeps mimicking Daggubati, who calls him a 'low-res version.' Grover proposes to Daggubati that he'd bring more tameez (manners) to season 2 as he's the most shareef (well-behaved). When Daggubati doesn't relent, Grover presents multiple options for the season 2 lead: Haryana Naidu, Kirana (shopkeeper) Naidu, Bandana Naidu, Aana Naidu, Jana Naidu, Banana Naidu, and Fulana Naidu, but Daggubati doesn't seem pleased. Grover then pulls out the card he saved for the last: A Deepfake message from Daggubati's uncle and co-star Venkatesh Daggubati, asking Rana to let Shana be the season 2 lead. Rana doesn't fall prey, and makes Grover 'Rawana Naidu.' At the end of the video, Grover pops up again, cross-dressed, proposing 'Janana (woman) Naidu,' before Rana makes him run away. Grover often cross-dressed as Gutthi on The Kapil Sharma Show. Now, he appears an Engineer Chumbak on The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma, season 3 of which will premiere on Netflix India on June 21. Meanwhile, Rana Naidu season 2 will drop on the platform on June 13. An official adaptation of popular American series Ray Donovan, the show brought together the real life uncle-nephew duo for the first time. It follows the life of Rana Naidu (Rana), the go-to guy for everyone in Bollywood when they have a problem, and his tense equation with estranged father Naga (Venkatesh). Season 2 also stars Arjun Rampal, Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Dino Morea, Abhishek Banerjee, and Sushant Singh.
