City of Albuquerque raises Pride flag over Civic Plaza
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Pride Month is here, and the City of Albuquerque is showing its support to the local LGBTQ community. City leaders gathered at Civic Plaza Tuesday morning to raise the multicolored pride flag. They said it's important to promote inclusion, equity, and love.

'Anytime we get a chance to stand up for ourselves and ourselves as marginalized citizens, it's alwasy a great day for me…we are here to support each other, no matter what struggles we're going through, no matter what walks of life we are, we are here for support,' said Board President Raymon Sierra-Lopez, Albuquerque Pride.
The annual Pride parade is set for Saturday morning in Nob Hill with a Pride festival to follow at Civic Plaza.
