Andy Lee's gross laundry admission divides Aussies: 'Unlimited wears'

Comedians Hamish & Andy have divided Aussies with a controversial take on how often they believe different items of dirty laundry actually need to be washed. In a recent podcast episode, Andy Lee disgusted fans with his bold admission about re-wearing used socks across multiple days and wearing pants and shorts repeatedly 'until soiled' with stains. 'Bec said to me this morning, didn't you wear those pants yesterday? I said yes,' Andy told his co-host. Andy, 43, strongly disagreed with his fiancée Rebecca Harding on her pro one-wear-one-wash laundry stance. 'PANTS?! 'Pants are unlimited,' Hamish Blake replied in shock. Comedians Hamish & Andy have divided Aussies with a controversial take on how often they believe different items of dirty laundry actually need to be washed In a recent podcast episode, Andy Lee disgusted fans with his bold admission about re-wearing used socks across multiple days and wearing pants and shorts repeatedly 'until soiled' with stains Feeling emboldened by Hamish's support, Andy suggested the pair set down their own laundry guidelines for each common piece of clothing. 'I would like us to establish what is the given amount of days' wear per item,' Andy said. The pair then devised their own set of 're-wear rules'. T-shirts can be worn for 'a day and a half,' Andy agreed after first suggesting two days. 'I don't think you can do two full days,' Hamish countered, considering the warm Australian climate. 'One day for undies, and you can add a night if you sleep in them also,' Hamish said. 'One plus a night because I do sleep in undies.' Shorts and jumpers can be worn an 'unlimited' number of times, according to the duo, provided they don't get soiled by food or coffee stains. According to Hamish & Andy, T-shirts can be worn for 1.5 days The podcast quickly went viral on social media, with fans and followers divided on the rules 'If you can look after them, you can keep them. It's like a puppy,' Hamish said. Jumpers could go an entire winter season without a wash, they argued, with proper care. 'Again, until soiled,' Andy said. Perhaps the most controversial laundry rule in the short video, which quickly went viral on TikTok, is Andy's opinion on socks. 'Socks can also be worn for a day-and-a-half,' he said, arguing that dirty pairs of socks can be re-worn for exercise because they are only going to get dirtier. 'If I'm going for a run, I prefer to use a soiled sock,' Andy said. 'It's only going to have a 30-minute life out in the wild. So why not use yesterday's sock?' Perhaps the most contentious point in this discussion is Hamish referring to the shoe as a 'pristine environment' that should prevent clean socks from dirtying. 'UNTIL SOILED?' one person asked with a series of crying emojis on TikTok. 'As soon as something has been worn on public transport or in an environment that I don't control, it's time for a wash,' one user commented. 'Bras: 1-30 years,' US comedian Nikki Glaser said. 'Depends where you live. In Melbourne undies = 1.5 days… in Darwin, undies = 1.5 hours,' another pointed out.

Andy Lee's fiancé Rebecca Harding 'shoots her shot' with major US singer on the streets of New York

She may be engaged to comedian Andy Lee, but that didn't stop Rebecca Harding from shooting her shot with a major US singer this week in New York. Rebecca , 35, says she 'still hasn't recovered' from a chance encounter with American singer-songwriter Role Model, real name Tucker Pillsbury, on the streets of the Big Apple. The model and long-time partner of Andy shared a video of her celebrity encounter to TikTok. 'Shooting my shot with Tucker,' she captioned the hilarious video, which shows Andy filming Rebecca as she spots the 28-year-old star from across the street. Rebecca grins at Andy nervously as she hovers by a pedestrian crossing, waiting for Tucker to cross the street and walk past her so that she can approach him 'casually'. He was on the move with his phone in one hand and AirPods in when Rebecca flagged him down. Tucker smiled at Rebecca and touched her shoulder to say goodbye before they parted ways. 'With my fiancé watching on,' she captioned the video. Fans flocked to the comments section to congratulate Rebecca on the 'smooth' interaction, as the video racked up more than 20,000 likes. 'Fiancé is just casually Andy Lee,' the top comment reads. 'Fiancé is just casually Andy Lee,' the top comment on Rebecca's video read 'Other half is a real one for showing this kind of support,' one viewer commented, with Rebecca calling the Hamish and Andy star 'a good sport' for capturing the moment. 'The shoulder touch,' another viewer commented with a heart-eyes emoji, to which Rebecca replied: 'Still haven't recovered.' 'You're better than me I just screamed his name out a window,' said another enamoured fan. Andy and Rebecca returned to their native Melbourne on Saturday. They had visited New York to pay a visit to Andy's recently opened Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates. With Andy at the helm of the venture, it is backed by an owner's group that includes the likes of Hamish Blake, tennis star Ash Barty, surfing legend Mick Fanning, Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins and Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman. Tucker, who previously dated ultimate It Girl Emma Chamberlain, performed at the US Governor's Ball this week and kissed fellow singer Conan Gray onstage while performing his viral hit. The singer and former rapper also announced he is cancelling a few upcoming shows to focus on filming Lena Dunham's new Netflix movie, Good Sex. 'I'm so excited to be joining Lena and the Good Sex cast, but as the filming schedule was finalised over the past month, there were some unavoidable conflicts that unfortunately could not be worked around no matter how hard we tried,' Role Model wrote on Instagram. 'That said, I am no longer able to attend Calgary Stampede or join some of the shows on The Secret of Us Deluxe tour.' As a result, Role Model said he would have to drop out of most of Gracie Abrams' shows, where he was scheduled as an opener. 'I am so sorry to anyone disappointed by this but the GOOD news is, you'll get to experience the incredible Djo, [Griff], and of course [Abrams] live and for that I'm jealous,' he said. 'I promise to make the shows we DO have together memorable and thank you always for your understanding. See you soon.' He will still be joining Gracie for her upcoming shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden and Mexico City's Pesis Center, however. Tucker will star alongside Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo in Good Sex, which follows 40-year-old couples' therapist Ally (Portman) who is getting back into the dating scene in New York.

Andy Lee makes smug comment about not having kids with his partner of ten years Rebecca Harding

Andy Lee has risked rustling up some internet trolls with his latest comment about his child-free lifestyle with his partner of 10 years, Rebecca Harding. The Australian comedian and his fiancée recently celebrated the fourth birthday of their only child, a beloved Welsh Terrier named Henri. On Monday, the 43-year-old luxuriated in a midday sleep in to mark the King's Birthday public holiday. 'It's 11.48am,' he captioned a photo taken of his dog curled up at his feet in bed, with the curtains in his Melbourne apartment still drawn. Andy shared the post to his Stories with the caption: 'Tell me you don't have kids without telling me you don't have kids.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The funnyman, 43, and Rebecca, 35, returned to Melbourne on Saturday from a quick jaunt to New York City to pay a visit to Andy's recently opened Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates. With Andy at the helm of the venture, it is backed by an owner's group that includes the likes of Hamish Blake, tennis star Ash Barty, surfing legend Mick Fanning, Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins and Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman. The comic did not let jet lag get to him either, getting back on the tools at his $8million renovation of an 1870s-era home built on the banks of Melbourne's Yarra River by Saturday afternoon. Andy freely admits that the ambitious project has taken precedence over planning their upcoming wedding. 'Most of our planning times and decision time we spend on the house,' Andy said with a laugh when he appeared on TMZ's Big Down Unda podcast in March. Asked by host Charlie Cotton for details about the wedding, Andy said he was 'lo-fi' while Bec is very 'hi fi'. 'When people come round to our house I don't feel the need for napkins for instance,' he said. 'But because Bec is very hi-fi, I'm lucky because I get the benefit of is nicely laid out and its the right cutlery... 'And I'm worried that [the wedding] is going to be that X a 1000.' Andy said the couple had no plans to a family right now — but teased a potential to change that. 'If Bec wants to [have a baby] I'm open to all that kind of stuff,' he said. It's quite the turnaround from comments the comic made in an interview with Kate Langbroek for the Mammamia Unfiltered podcast last year. 'I've gone through times where I thought I would, and then I've definitely gone through patches of feeling, "I don't think I want this at all. We'll see",' Andy confessed. 'One thing I do love about not currently having kids is how available I am to my family. My mum, my dad and I were down at the beach house the other day and they said, "When are you going to start a family?" 'And I said, "You realise you wouldn't be here in this beach house if I had my own family and kids." I think I spend so much time with them because of [being child-free].' 'I love being available to people. It's something that I love with friends - being a reliable source to call upon,' he continued. 'I do definitely worry that having my own family means that I give that up... People think that's selfish. But it's not, I get a lot of self-worth [out of it].' Parenthood, he said, doesn't mean a person can't show up as a good mate, but 'it's all-consuming'. 'Naturally, people turn inward when they have their own kids,' he said. Ultimately, Andy said, marriage isn't 'super important' for the couple. He said he thinks Rebecca will be 'an amazing mum,' but the often 'unfair pressure' on child-free couples to announce their future plans isn't helpful. 'There's no rub between Bec and I on that front. Because she also doesn't want [kids] right now. This is the misconception,' he added.

Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding spotted jetting into Melbourne after New York trip...as the comedian goes straight back to 'work' on mammoth mansion project

Andy Lee cut a casual figure on Saturday, when he was spotted with partner Rebecca Harding, jetting into Melbourne after a New York jaunt. The funnyman, 43, and Rebecca, 35, were in the Big Apple to pay a visit to Andy's Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates. With Andy at the helm of the venture, it is backed by an owner's group that includes the likes of Hamish Blake, tennis star Ash Barty, surfing legend Mick Fanning, Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins and Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman. Andy was dressed for on the long haul flight, wearing a pair of loose-fitting navy blue tracksuit pants. He also wore a crisp, white long sleeve polo shirt, and a pair of well-worn white sneakers. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Finishing his flight ensemble, the Hundred host wore a brown and white Cherry LA trucker cap. Rebecca, meanwhile was similarly attired in a pair of grey track suit pants and a white top that she wore under a thigh-length coat. Wearing a black headband to keep her locks of her face, Rebecca was also spotted wheeling a silver suitcase and hand luggage. Andy, meanwhile appeared more interested in his phone, smiling as he scrolled and walked. He did not let jet lag get to him either, getting back on the tools at his ambitious Melbourne mansion renovation. He shared a photo to Instagram on Saturday afternoon that showed him happily posing with construction crew at the build site. While the workers, who appeared to have been rendering a cement wall looked suitably dirty, Andy, who offered a heart thumbs up, was conspicuously spotless. 'Me and the boys got the walls done in a day. I certainly don't want to take all the credit, it was a team effort,' he captioned the image. The funnyman, 43, and Rebecca, 35, were in the Big Apple to pay a visit to Andy's Aussie-themed Manhattan pub, Old Mates His followers were quick to flood the comments with suggestions that Andy was only there for the 'photo op.' 'Good to see the shoes are nice and dirty,' one offered, commenting on Andy's pristine footwear. Another chimed in with a cheeky: 'Andy rocking up just in time for smoko.' Hopefully they kept the noise down as Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed, earlier this month, that some neighbours are less-than-enamoured with the protracted build. 'It's noisy. It's been noisy... It's frustrating because it's been going for a year and we've still got a couple more years to go,' one disgruntled person said. Though they went on to add the 'earthworks' was the noisiest portion of the build, the neighbour said nowadays it has 'actually settled down quite a bit'. Andy and Rebecca have grand plans for their Italianate manor, with the planned renovation worth an estimated $5million having begun in 2023. The comedian has been hard at work on the derelict Melbourne mansion, called Ravenswood, he bought for $8.5million in 2021, in a Block-style rebuild. The couple won council approval for their development application back in June 2023. Plans for the site include adding a second building which will be connected by a tunnel to the original Italianate mansion, which was built around 1876. Other highlights planned for the 1,950 square metre holding include a home theatre, a gym, a swimming pool and a 'mega bedroom'. In a statement to the Herald Sun, Boroondara Council confirmed it had issued a notice of decision to grant a planning permit for the Yarra Grove address. One neighbour told the Sydney Morning Herald in December the construction cacophony had caused the couple to lose 'a lot of community goodwill'. 'The noise is just horrendous,' the disgruntled neighbour told the publication.

EXCLUSIVE Andy Lee's mega-mansion causes division as neighbours complain of constant noise and no parking while years-long construction continues on three-storey Melbourne home

Andy Lee and fiancée Rebecca Harding may be on the verge of overstaying their welcome in Hawthorn as construction continues on their three-story mega-mansion. The funnyman, 43, and his partner, 35, have spent the last 18 months restoring a 150-year-old derelict home by the Yarra River in Melbourne. With huge plans to connect a modern build to the Italianate manor, and years longer to go, Daily Mail Australia can reveal the disruptive build has divided neighbours. The funnyman and his partner have spent the last 18 months restoring a 150-year-old derelict home by the Yarra River in Melbourne 'Any building site is noisy... It's hard with parking. The parking is difficult, but any house renovation does that,' they continued. Another neighbour agreed, saying: 'There was digging every day between seven and three. That's ceased. 'At the moment it has quieted down. We've just accepted that it's happening.' Someone else took umbrage with how frequently builders were working on the site, and wondered if Andy knew how noisy the construction was. 'I will say they start at about 7.15am and finish at 5pm and it's been six days a week... It's been continuous noise,' they said. 'Now that they've started on the build, it's a lot of hammering and the builders do like their loud music. 'And of course the parking. It's wasn't considerate to the neighbours in that it was six days, not five days. I'm not sure Andy Lee is aware of the continuous noise. 'I think there could have been more consideration to the neighbours... I didn't realise it was three stories.' The source went on to say the radio star and his partner invited all the neighbours over to the home before they began renovations in 2023. 'We had a meet with him at about Christmas before last. He did show all the drawings,' they said. 'We had champagne and canapés, but I don't think we were aware of the disruptions it would cause... It's certainly changed the street the last 18 months. 'It doesn't bother me too much, but I can understand everybody else's problems. I don't know how the people right next door to it can stand it.' Others said while construction has certainly been noisy and disruptive, they have grown used to the sound as there are often renovations happening on the street. 'We're going with it. It's been really noisy today. I don't know what they were doing. It changes all the time. We don't really have a complaint,' one person said. 'We know it's going to go on for years... We've had other builds go on in the street and they've taken years. We're used to that. I'm not going to complain. 'I can't understand why they're doing what they're doing. Why didn't they just live in the old house? Fix it up.' They added: 'The construction and the digging up of the ground, there has been big trucks... We're used to it.' Despite the constant noise and disruption to parking, other neighbours are glad someone has swooped in to fix up the old rundown home. 'It had gotten into a terrible state of disrepair before [Andy] started doing renovations. So it's actually looking better than it has looked for the last ten years,' one said. 'There were squatters there before. I think it's great that he's doing it. I wish it would be finished already. 'I think he's doing a great job. He's obviously not scrimping on costs... It's going to be better than the decrepit house that was there before. I think it's going to be beautiful.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Andy and Rebecca for comment. Andy and Rebecca have grand plans for their Italianate manor, with the planned renovation worth an estimated $5million having begun in 2023. 'The noise is just horrendous,' the disgruntled neighbour told the publication. 'Some residents just leave—they go away for a week at a time and come back on the weekend.' The publication also reported residents are angry over construction noise which had continued for 26 weeks. The noise was due to piling reinforced steel pillars and it was also reported dust from 'constant' rock breaking, had coated the solar panels on nearby houses.
