Carlisle sexual abuser Jacob Corrie has jail term increased
A man jailed for sexually abusing two children has had his sentence increased after the initial length was ruled too Corrie, 31, admitted several offences involving sexual activity with a child and repeatedly inciting a child to engage in sexual activity in the Carlisle area in 2013 and was jailed for six years and four months at Carlisle Crown Court in the Court of Appeal increased it to 10 years and four months.
Cumbria Police said Corrie was aware that his victims were under initially denied the offences, he later pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual activity with a child, eight counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of sexual communication with a Con Rebecca Lynch said she welcomed the revised sentence, adding it "ensures he spends further time in prison out of our community for these serious offences".
