Dumfries and Galloway cyclists enjoy success at Scottish championships
Josh and Cobey Stewart won gold at the Scottish Youth Circuit Championships, with Rebecca Saunderson winning at the Scottish National Circuit Championships.
There was huge success for Stewartry riders at national competitions over the weekend.
Corsock brothers Josh and Cobey, were successful at the Scottish Youth Circuit Championships on Saturday.
And Studio Velo's Rebecca Saunderson won at the Scottish National Circuit Championships on Sunday.
Josh and Cobey, riding for Stepping Stanes Youth Cycling, won the under-12 and under-14 age groups respectively at the youth competition, held at Tulliallan Police College in Kincardine.
Both boys raced hard, pulling a comfortable lead on from the chasing groups to claim the titles and pull on the Scottish champions jerseys.
The final race of the day was the first ever youth circuit relay, with younger brother Mitch and local rider Izzy Barbour joining the team.
The four riders won by more than 40 seconds thanks to four flying laps, taking the win from some of Scotland's largest youth cycling clubs.
The following day saw the Scottish National Circuit Championships at Fife Cycle Park.
Rebecca was up against some strong riders but kept the pace high throughout the race, finishing off with a perfect sprint to become the Scottish champion.
Huge thanks go to Gillespie, Gifford and Brown solicitors and estate agents in Dalbeattie and Stewartry Sports Council for their continued support.
