Norfolk robotics team recognized by city council
NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — The Norfolk-area robotics team received an honor during Monday's city council meeting.

Their first place win was the Inspire Award at the 2025 FIRST Tech Challenge World Championships in Houston.
Officials said the honor celebrate the team's community impact, innovation, and team ranked first out of more than 8,500 teams around the world.
'We're very excited that a small town team from Norfolk, Nebraska, was able to go there and beat some of these gigantic teams from 6A schools in California and Texas. It really was an absolutely incredible experience,' said team captain Emmett Haake.
Rebel robotics is now in the FTC Hall of Fame because of this achievement.
