White Sox Reacts Survey: Rebuild temperature check
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Chicago White Sox fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
This week, we would like to know how you're feeling about Rebuild No. 2. On the plus side, the White Sox currently sit three games better (18-48) than the 2024 team (15-45), and project to eight wins better overall, at 49-113. Is that enough?

At the current pace of improvement (roughly eight or nine wins per season), the White Sox won't be even a .500 team until 2029. That would also mean that the 'championship window' that was promised by the pain of the Rick Hahn rebuild yielded just one true, contending season, the 93-win White Sox of 2021. It will also mean that the White Sox, presuming the 2030s are mostly a winning decade (quite a stretch to believe given the '20s), are at least a decade away from being an overall winning franchise once again.
