What Happened Today on Bold and the Beautiful July 24: That's ‘Sheila Eight-Toes' To You!
The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, July 24 saw Steffy making Sheila's day, Brooke trying again, and Taylor eavesdropping on a telling conversation. What You Missed Today On Bold and the Beautiful Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was still right by Liam's (Scott Clifton) when they were surprised by a visit from Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Much to Sheila's own surprise, Steffy didn't boot her from the room. In fact, she welcomed her and and even thanked her for doing all she could to stop Luna (Lisa Yamada) from attacking her. Sheila nearly sacrificed herself and that wasn't something Steffy would ever forget. 'Take the win, Sheila,' she teased. Sheila was blown away by Steffy's gesture of good faith and decided to not test her luck or overstay her welcome. She shared her grief over losing her granddaughter but she was also grateful to Liam for saving everyone that day. She thanked him profusely before going to take her leave. But, before she could get out the door, Steffy asked how she was doing. Sheila decided to not just give them an update, but show them. She lifted her foot and laughed about no one being able to call her 'Sheila Nine-Toes' anymore. She's 'Sheila Eight-Toes' now. WATCH THIS: SoapHub Says! Our newest fun and fabulous podcast episode is here! After Sheila left, Steffy announced to Liam that she wanted to take some time away to process her trauma and she asked to take Kelly with her. Liam was more than happy to oblige, especially now that he has endless time with their daughter. He gave his blessing and hoped her trip was everything she needed it to be. A Doctor Turns Detective Over at the hospital, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) discussed Grace's (Cassandra Creech) shockingly bold move that saved Liam. How did they go from having no hope to discovering a miracle cure? Something definitely wasn't sitting right with the doctors. While they agreed they were nothing but grateful Liam's life was spared, the details were vague and nothing about this was by the books. Once alone, Finn poured over Liam's scans and his case file. The more he looked into it, the more concerned and confused he became. Something shady happened here and Finn was determined to find out what REALLY happened to Liam. Love Me Instead Meanwhile, Nick (Jack Wagner) continued urging Taylor (Rebecca Budig) to join him in Italy. They needed to not only keep an eye on Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), but also keep them apart. Taylor was not about to run overseas but did agree someone had to go and watch over the ex lovers. She asked Nick to stick close to his lady love and make sure she stayed far away from Ridge. At the same time, Eric (John McCook) laid it on thick with Ridge. Brooke is the love of Ridge's life and Eric all but demanded he dump Taylor and rekindle things with the Logan lady. He even launched into a speech about life being short and he didn't want his son to live with regrets. MORE: Did Grace scam Dollar Bill out of a million dollars?! Ridge was in the midst of putting his foot down when Brooke came in. Eric made no secret of what they were discussing and left the room so the two could talk. Brooke didn't waste the opportunity. She immediately jumped into setting the stage for a romantic reunion in their special city. Doesn't he want to eat pizza with her and walk hand in hand around the town? When Ridge turned her down again, she became utterly relentless. A Warning Shot What Brooke didn't realize was Taylor was outside the door listening in. She overheard Brooke stating Ridge would never love Taylor the way he loves her and stuck around to catch Brooke alone. Brooke no sooner slipped into the design room than Taylor cornered her. She made it perfectly clear that no one, especially Brooke, would come between her and Ridge's love. Not here in Los Angeles and definitely not over in Italy. Solve the daily Crossword

WhatsApp to add ‘Quick Recap' feature to summarise multiple chats at once, report says
Meta is working on bringing a slew of new AI-powered features to WhatsApp. One of these is a recap feature called Quick Recap, which will give users a quick summary of unread messages. According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, this feature is currently under development and was spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.25.21.12).Though the feature is not yet available to beta testers, the report suggests that Quick Recap is aimed at improving how users navigate through lengthy or multiple chat threads. The feature is reportedly being built on WhatsApp's earlier message summaries feature, which allows users to get an overview of unread messages in a single conversation. This summary feature is currently available in the back to the new Quick Recap feature, it is reportedly said to be a bit more enhanced than the summary feature. It will enable users to select up to five chats simultaneously and receive a concise, AI-generated summary of key messages from each conversation. It is said to be designed to help users save the time and effort of scrolling through endless message threads, especially after being away from the app for a to access this feature As per the screenshot of the feature shared by WABetaInfo, to access Quick Recap, users will be able to go to the Chats tab, choose multiple conversations, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select the Quick Recap option. Once activated, Meta's in-house AI will process unread messages and produce a summarised version of what's been discussed — offering a quick and clean way to catch concerns The report notes that the Quick Recap feature is integrated with Meta's Private Processing technology, which promises a privacy-first approach that ensures user messages remain confidential even during AI processing. Meta earlier noted that its Private Processing uses end-to-end encryption, secure enclaves, and isolated computation to protect data. As a result, neither WhatsApp nor Meta can view the original messages or the generated summaries. The AI never processes readable data outside the secure enclave, safeguarding content even during feature Additionally, the report noted that this new Quick Recap feature will be completely optional for users. It will need to be enabled manually through Settings and won't be turned on by default. Any chats protected by WhatsApp's Advanced Chat Privacy settings will automatically be excluded from the availability expected soon As for availability, the Quick Recap feature is currently available only in preview via the Android beta channel. WhatsApp is expected to roll it out gradually to testers in future beta builds before releasing it more widely to all Android users.- Ends

Re:cap lands in the UK with €125m credit facility from HSBC
Recap UK Capital OS Launch has a €125 million fund to help tech companies in the area grow without giving up equity. 0 This content is provided by an external author without editing by Finextra. It expresses the views and opinions of the author. Recap wants to help startups grow more quickly by giving them flexible, data-driven financing without giving up equity. The company plans to bring its Capital OS for tech companies to the UK. The Capital OS is designed to help high-growth companies scale without overreliance on equity or the inefficiencies of traditional lending. re:cap combines flexible debt, real-time liquidity management, and capital planning in a single platform. This gives founders and CFOs full control over how capital is raised, deployed, and tracked 'Over the past four years, our platform has helped hundreds of tech companies in Germany and the Netherlands scale efficiently – with zero defaults and full transparency,' said Paul Becker, CEO and co-founder of re:cap. 'Now we're bringing that same infrastructure to the UK, supported by more capital than ever, provided by our strong existing and new partners.' The UK's expansion marks a pivotal moment for re:cap. As the second-largest tech funding market globally, the UK is home to thousands of startups and growth-stage companies navigating rising interest rates, valuation pressure, and stricter investor scrutiny. Many are exploring alternative financing models to preserve equity and invest in growth — but equally important is understanding when, how, and how much to fund. re:cap's Capital OS combines access to non-dilutive capital with financial planning tools that help management teams deploy it with precision. The new facility will help UK-based tech companies that are growing by giving them financing options that are tailored to their needs and work directly with their metrics. The idea for re:cap was born when co-founders Paul Becker and Jonas Tebbe were consulting a private equity firm on digital due diligence. While prototyping financial tools, they saw an opportunity to integrate capital access with real-time analysis. Out of that insight, re:cap was born. Prior to re:cap, the founders built LIQID, Europe's leading digital wealth manager. Since launching in Germany in 2021, re:cap has deployed more than €100 million in financing across Germany and the Netherlands. Testament to the quality of re:cap's underwriting is the company's track record with zero defaults which has impressed institutional investors. Phill Lovett, Head of Structured Finance at HSBC Innovation Banking, said, 'It has been a privilege to partner with re:cap since 2022, providing warehouse funding to enable the business to build a high performing loan book underpinned by re:cap's market leading credit decision-making software. We are extremely happy to continue to work with the company and welcome Avellinia Capital as an additional financing partner. Together, we will provide a scaleable source of finance to enable continued growth across Europe and the UK.' Julian Schickel, Founding Partner at Avellinia Capital, commented, 're:cap is solving a major headache for tech founders. Traditional banks rarely lend to startup and growth tech companies and venture debt is usually only available for later stage companies. With re:cap, tech companies can easily and flexibly receive growth capital, while benefiting from a powerful real-time analytics platform. We're pleased to commence our collaboration with re:cap, leveraging an innovative financing structure, as we enter this next phase together. With the new funding structure and UK expansion, re:cap is building toward a future where capital, planning, and execution live in one system. As more companies trade equity dependency for data-driven finance, re:cap aims to become the single system of record for founders and CFOs across Europe. With the Recap UK Capital OS Launch, the company offers UK startups a powerful way to get money for growth that combines access to capital with tech-driven flexibility.
