As it turns out, though, you can improve on perfection, and the brand's latest trainer launch is solid proof.
Released this week, the Sunset Sneaker marks the brand's third foray into the sneakerverse. Where the previous Alo Runner and Recovery Mode trainers tapped into performance-based silhouettes, these trainers make for a more fashion-forward addition to the line-up. Leaning into the sleek silhouettes that have been reigning supreme through multiple seasons now (hello, Adidas Sambas and Puma Speedcats), the suede trainers hit all the right minimalist notes.

Sure, the most appealing thing about the Sunset trainers might be the streamlined silhouette, but that's not the only thing piquing our interest. Wrapped in buttery soft suede, the trainers sit on a recovery foam insole that prioritises comfort. Then there's the neutral colour palette and wide laces that add a timeless finish. And because no one likes those dreaded new-shoe blisters, the heel collar is padded.
Available in classic black and beige, no matter which trainer you go for, you'll find that it goes with pretty much anything in your wardrobe. A coffee and croissant run?
