Recruiting Rumor Mill: Latest intel on dozens of top prospects
The first weekend of official visits was so massive that a second Recruiting Rumor Mill was definitely needed and this is the biggest one yet from Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney. RECRUITING RUMOR MILL: June kicks off with a bang | Baltimore | Detroit NEW RIVALS250 RELEASED: Ranking | Top storylines | Ten prospects who could rise with a big June MORE: Baylor QB commit Quinn Murphy talks major new offer Advertisement CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info What stood out most to Bach during his Kansas visit over the weekend was all the development being done to the program, that every facility is brand-new and the message from the coaches being that the tight end room is older so he can step in and have a big, early opportunity. Kansas State might have the slightest edge but Kansas and TCU round out his top three. Michigan, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M and Penn State are the four finalists for Barney, who commits on July 5, and the word has been that the Aggies are the front-runner. But the Erie, Pa., native, who's now playing in Carrollton, Ga., had a great visit to Penn State recently and his weekend trip to Georgia Tech couldn't have been better. Advertisement The comfort level he has 'every single time' he's there and the message that he's needed in that program resonated. Georgia Tech has emerged as the front-runner for the high three-star QB from Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More, especially after a great weekend visit. But Colorado just offered after he threw for that coaching staff and he's going to FAU this weekend. Oklahoma State and UCLA are getting involved. The Yellow Jackets lead but now there's more competition. Bywater 'can't say enough good things' about his weekend visit to Utah as the Utes are going to be very tough to beat in his recruitment, especially after this visit. The three-star defensive end from Salt Lake City (Utah) Olympus loved the attention to detail on everything and how the coaching staff has treated him throughout the recruiting process. Advertisement Boise State and BYU are the other contenders but the Utes are in front. A battle between Florida and Georgia is raging for the high three-star offensive tackle from St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood. 'Really everything' stood out to Campbell during his trip to Athens as the Bulldogs are now 'extremely high' in his recruitment, especially since the coaching staff made it clear that he's a top priority along the offensive line. A classic SEC East battle is brewing here. After early overtures from Georgia have tailed off, Carbin is focused on others and Mississippi State could be the team to watch. The high three-star edge rusher from Powder Springs (Ga.) Hillgrove was in Starkville over the weekend and loves coach Jeff Lebby and the attention he's getting from him. He believes the Bulldogs are 'really going to flip this thing around.' Advertisement Georgia Tech, Baylor, Virginia Tech and Louisville are the others to watch but Mississippi State is out front. The four-star receiver from Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County remains committed to Auburn but Georgia is pushing hard and he had a great visit to Athens over the weekend. The 'detailed way' the coaching staff broke down the development of their receivers and who they produced was a big bonus. The message from position coach James Coley was clear: 'He wants me in that WR room no matter how or when we make it happen.' SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH AUBURN FANS AT A battle between North Carolina and Florida State is raging for the big four-star receiver from Jackson, Ala. Advertisement The Seminoles have been there for a long time but Chapman felt 'like I was at home' during his weekend visit to Chapel Hill and the coaching staff told him he'd see the field as a freshman. A two-team race has emerged. Getting Cotton out of the SEC might be tough with Mississippi State, LSU and Kentucky leading the way for the big four-star receiver from Grenada, Miss., but NC State has legitimately entered the picture here. How the coaching staff made him feel at home in Raleigh was a big deal and they 'turned the tables in a good way' as NC State has now definitely moved into the conversation for him. Indiana, Michigan and Ole Miss have been the mainstays for the 2027 four-star quarterback and the Cheshire (Conn.) Cheshire Academy standout could be looking at an early commitment. However, Oregon now will be under serious consideration. Advertisement The Wolverines could have a tough lead to overcome but after spending time with Oregon OC Will Stein over the weekend, landing an offer and seeing everything the Ducks have in Eugene, they could be under much more serious consideration now. A long list remains for the high four-star cornerback from Fort Mill (S.C.) Catawba Ridge with Duke, South Carolina, Texas, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Miami, Florida and Alabama. Tennessee will be one to watch as he loves the relationships in Knoxville since they offered during his freshman year. A new offer from Clemson is also one to watch as he wants to visit soon after getting the new offer. Just a few weeks ago, it looked like Ole Miss was by far the team to beat for Duckworth and the Rebels could still win out here but his recruitment has gotten murkier. Advertisement South Carolina is making another major play for the Jackson, Ala., standout who had been committed to the Gamecocks. Auburn has seriously entered the picture, as coach Hugh Freeze had him on campus over the weekend and Duckworth loved it. He also feels having Jackson Arnold and Deuce Knight in the same QB room is a bonus, not a hindrance, to his development. Alabama remains the top program on Edwards' list and second is Oregon. If the Ducks get even more involved in his recruitment things could get interesting with the five-star safety from Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances. Auburn made a significant move for Edwards during his visit over the weekend and he has a connection with a bunch of people in the building, but it would be a surprise if the Tigers overtook Alabama right now. Big visits remain to Notre Dame, Georgia and Penn State before Fogle makes his decision but a weekend trip to LSU has the high three-star tight end from Lexington, Ohio, thinking a whole lot. Advertisement He loves how the coaches and staff are locked in. He feels like a major priority in Baton Rouge and the attention to detail in everything LSU does impressed his family. The 2027 four-star cornerback from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy loved his time at Texas and landed an offer from the Longhorns but he needs to keep building his relationship with the staff if the Longhorns are going to join his lengthy list of favorites. Georgia, Washington, Tennessee, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon and Texas A&M are among the leaders. Ohio State might be too tough to overcome as the Buckeyes have had the lead in his recruitment but LSU definitely has Geralds thinking a lot after his weekend visit to Baton Rouge. Advertisement The four-star defensive tackle, who's playing at Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill, lived there for a good portion of his life. He's familiar with the program and its history so the temptation to return to Baton Rouge and help deliver another national championship is more than tempting. South Carolina and Alabama have emerged as the two early favorites but Georgia, Tennessee and a host of others will be involved. USC is now in the mix for the Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson standout as he had the best private workout with those coaches than anywhere else. The Trojans are a 'top of the top contender' for him and only time will determine if USC can keep up that momentum over many SEC standouts. Alabama is the front-runner for the former USC four-star linebacker commit and the Crimson Tide could be really tough to beat since he's a legacy there. Ohio State really made a major impression over the weekend though. Advertisement Being coached by 'one of the best linebackers to ever wear the scarlet and gray' in James Laurinitis and being under new defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and his NFL experience has given him 'a lot to think about.' Others will be involved on the fringe but the 2027 four-star defensive lineman from Inglewood, Calif., has USC and Oregon as his two front-runners. Harmon lives so close to the USC campus that he can walk there. His weekend trip to Eugene could not have gone better as he loves the intensity there. The Trojans and Ducks look as if they will battle it out until decision day. Cal is involved and Harris spent a few days at Texas A&M this week but the word is that Arizona is the No. 1 team on his list following his weekend visit. Advertisement The Wildcats have made a major impression on the new Chandler (Ariz.) Compass Prep four-star defensive tackle and now that he's playing in Arizona, the Wildcats could only solidify their lead. Georgia continues to surge ahead in Helton's recruitment and after another great visit there this weekend where he loved the 'championship mindset' in everything they do, the Bulldogs are clearly a main contender in his recruitment. Alabama is also up there (he was once committed to the Crimson Tide) and now Georgia Tech is also making a serious play for the four-star interior OL from Carrollton, Ga. The 2027 four-star linebacker from Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit admits that it's still early in his recruitment but a visit to Tennessee this weekend definitely made an impression. The pitch was that if he wants to excel in the SEC then Knoxville is the place to be. Advertisement Miami is another one of his top contenders. LSU, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Alabama and USC are also high. A lot is happening in Jackson's recruitment following his decommitment from Florida as the Gators are working to get him back. Miami is trying to keep him in-state, Oregon wowed him on his visit and Nebraska is considered a dark horse. Enter LSU as the Orlando (Fla.) First Academy four-star corner loved the energy around the program and the history at defensive back. The word is LSU is 'one of the top contenders' for him. The four-star defensive back from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin remains committed to Michigan and the thinking has been if a flip comes it would be to Florida since the Gators have made him a priority and he could reunite with former five-star teammate Hylton Stubbs among others. Advertisement But Miami made a big impression over the weekend as he spent a ton of time with coach Mario Cristobal and loves the track record of position coaches Zac Etheridge and Will Harris. The Hurricanes aren't going anywhere in this recruitment. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MICHIGAN FANS AT Florida and Miami, among others, are battling it out for the four-star from Brunswick, Ga., but it would be a surprise if the Gators didn't lead in this recruitment right now. Kent loved 'everything' about his recent trip to Gainesville even though he's been there multiple times and he remains a top priority for that coaching staff. A couple days after visiting TCU and having a great trip with the Horned Frogs, King announced he would commit on July 4. The four-star cornerback from Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial loves how invested everyone is at TCU and coach Sonny Dykes was pouring it on King this weekend, which really left an impression. Advertisement Arkansas and Houston are the others to watch ahead of his decision. It could be a 'tight-knit race' for the four-star linebacker out of Marietta (Ga.) Kell but Tennessee has been the front-runner for some time in his recruitment. Rouse was at Alabama over the weekend and he loved seeing the process that the incoming freshmen have to go through, but the Vols still seem like they have a considerable lead. Did Ohio State just make a significant move in Sutter's recruitment? Alabama has been considered the front-runner and could still be tough to beat but the four-star tight end from Dunlap, Ill., absolutely loved spending time with position coach Keenan Bailey and seeing how he develops tight ends and puts them in the NFL. Advertisement After his visit to Columbus, the word is Ohio State is definitely one of his top teams. Michigan, Miami and Vanderbilt are among the other favorites for Stewart but it seems like things have drastically changed after his Clemson visit. 'From the second' he stepped on campus, the College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star could feel how the place was different and the messages he got from coach Dabo Swinney and others throughout the weekend made a serious impact on him. The Tigers could be moving up really fast. As soon as White got to Auburn over the weekend, he had a one-on-one visit with defensive coordinator DJ Durkin and that left a big impression on the four-star linebacker from Jackson (Miss.) Jackson Academy. Advertisement After this trip, Auburn is clearly one of the top programs, if not the team to beat. Other trips will happen and Florida State, Tennessee, Mississippi State, North Carolina and others are involved. Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami and Florida are battling among the top programs for Wilson but Alabama has been the team to beat and remains so after another great visit to Tuscaloosa. What stood out most to the four-star defensive end from Picayune, Miss., was how the coaching staff treated his whole family and didn't try to sell him on 'NIL or flashy things.' All those other favorites will get trips but the Crimson Tide are in front.

Recruiting Rumor Mill: First big visit weekend is just days away
Nick Lucero/ The first big visit weekend of late May and early June is only days away but there is still a ton going on across the country. Here's the latest from Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney in this Recruiting Rumor Mill. Advertisement MORE: Ohio State QB commit Brady Edmunds has some big targets CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info The high three-star defensive back from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward committed to Toledo last June but now Akande has a full visit schedule this month and there's a big threat that he could flip. Akande is at UCF this weekend and that will definitely be one to watch before he sees South Florida, Toledo and FIU to close out the month. Minnesota, Kentucky and NC State are also big threats to flip him. Tennessee remains at the top of the list for Anderson and with a limited amount of other Power Four offers it would be very surprising if he didn't end up with the Volunteers if they have room in this recruiting class. Advertisement Cincinnati, Memphis and others are involved but after a recent return trip to Knoxville where he got to know the staff even better, Tennessee is the front-runner. There is a strong feeling that Miami is the front-runner for the four-star edge rusher from Venice, Fla., and it could help the Hurricanes even more since he's taking his final official visit there at the end of the month. But others are going to throw their hat in the ring as Florida gets its shot this weekend. He'll also see Louisville, Kentucky and Missouri before wrapping up the month in Coral Gables. Texas is in very good shape with the 2027 four-star defensive back from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco. Advertisement Texas A&M, Colorado, Cal and BYU round out his top five, as Davis looks to a busy round of visits. He's expected to visit the Longhorns this weekend, then head to Boston College, Arizona State and Sacramento State by the end of the month. Georgia has emerged as the front-runner for the five-star safety but Alabama is right there in his recruitment with Oregon rounding out his favorites. Texas A&M had been at the top but seems to be sliding for the Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances standout. A new visit to Florida on June 3 will be one to watch as there is a significant SEC feel now to his recruitment. Michigan is trying to make a serious run at the five-star LSU cornerback commit and while the family is listening, his commitment to the Tigers has not swayed. The Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon standout has only been committed for weeks and he was already back in Baton Rouge in recent days to firm things up even more. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT The four-star defensive tackle from Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill is kicking off his official visit schedule this weekend at LSU as the Tigers remain one of four front-runners in his recruitment. It was thought that Oklahoma might have had an edge but the Sooners have fallen off a little. LSU, Ole Miss (where he's a legacy), Oregon and Ohio State have emerged as the four to watch. The 2027 three-star running back from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman is now up to 20 offers with more very possibly on the way but so far Arizona, Notre Dame, BYU, Cal, Washington, UNLV and Arizona State have been in touch the most. Advertisement Grant is still in the early stages and doesn't want to name leaders yet, especially with Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and UCLA asking about him. Matthews has a list of favorites but this could be boiling down to a two-team race with South Carolina in the lead but Texas is making a major play for the four-star cornerback from Cornelius (N.C.) Hough. Matthews will be in Miami this weekend and that could get interesting. Some believe the Longhorns have the momentum, but South Carolina remains very appealing. Alabama, Michigan and Texas will host the four-star linebacker from Marietta (Ga.) Kell in the coming weeks before Rouse heads back to Tennessee and the Vols could be really tough to beat. Advertisement Rouse had a trip 'different from any other visit' last weekend in Knoxville that only strengthened his relationship with the coaching staff and pushed the Vols even higher among his favorites. After official visits to Washington, Stanford and UCLA, the high three-star defensive end from Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea will return home and work through a decision with his family. Washington is 'home' and that could be playing a big role in his thinking but all three schools are basically even heading into visits. The four-star Tennessee tight end commit was back in Knoxville over the weekend and he had a great time as the coaching staff is recruiting him like he hasn't made his pledge yet. Advertisement The Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy standout has dropped his Miami visit and has Florida, Ole Miss and a return trip back to Tennessee on the calendar. If the Vols throw more to their tight ends, then Sneed might be locked in as that has been a concern while looking at other programs. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TENNESSEE FANS AT Theodore feels like a priority every time he's on Tennessee's campus and the Vols are very high on his list especially after being at their 865 Live event over the weekend. Tennessee looks very strong for the three-star cornerback from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School with Wisconsin, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Duke and Virginia also there. The four-star offensive tackle from New Albany, Miss., has been committed to Mississippi State since February but Tucker will be at Ole Miss this weekend followed by LSU and then close out the month back in Starkville. Advertisement The word is that LSU is recruiting him the hardest so that trip to Baton Rouge will be one to watch closely and Oxford is less than an hour away. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MISSISSIPPI STATE FANS AT Auburn will host the four-star edge rusher from Wadley, Ala., this weekend and the Tigers are definitely one of the front-runners. Texas A&M could be sneaky here and might have the advantage right now in his recruitment with Miami and the Tigers involved. This trip to The Plains could settle things for Auburn but the Aggies are a major player in his recruitment for sure.

Recruiting Rumor Mill: Decisions on deck for top prospects
Things are a little slower in May in terms of visits but a ton of recruiting news is still coming out every day. Here's the latest that Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney is hearing in this Recruiting Rumor Mill. MORE: Five standouts remain for four-star tight end Kaiden Prothro CLASS OF 2025 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker Oregon, Penn State and Notre Dame are the front-runners for the four-star cornerback from Towson (Md.) Loyola Blakefield and he will visit all three of those programs in June. South Carolina is definitely right there as well and he'll be in Columbia for that first June visit weekend. Advertisement Maryland and Michigan are hanging in there and Adams could schedule a trip to one of those two as well. Colorado and Florida are 'for sure' standing out most for the four-star defensive back from Brandon, Miss., although some still believe he could end up in-state with Ole Miss involved there, too. As for visits, Ashley has Auburn in mid-June followed by Colorado on the last weekend of trips as a few standouts have definitely emerged. West Virginia, Duke and Notre Dame have taken the lead for the three-star athlete from Mesquite (Texas) North Forney and he has trips planned to see the Blue Devils first in late May and is working on visits with the other two for June. Advertisement Bey will also take an official to Tennessee in June as those four programs are emerging as the leaders right now. After his sixth visit to Georgia over the weekend and a commitment coming Tuesday, the word is the Bulldogs would be shocked if they weren't the pick. Miami has put together a massive NIL package and Oregon has intrigued him. But this final trip to Athens has the feel of putting finishing touches for the five-star offensive tackle, not to figure out unanswered questions. A new offer from Oklahoma is big for the 2027 high three-star offensive lineman from Southlake (Texas) Carroll especially since position coach Bill Bedenbaugh has such an excellent history developing players across the offensive line. Advertisement Dare's recruitment remains decently open as he's taken a ton of visits this offseason and is planning to visit Texas and Florida soon. Alabama, Oregon, Clemson and Tennessee would like him to take trips as well. It's looking unlikely that the four-star defensive end from St. Louis (Mo.) De Smet takes an official visit to Missouri, which means Davis could be heading out of state. Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska and Texas A&M look to be the visit destinations for Davis and it sounds like one of those four will end up landing the standout edge rusher. Colorado has entered the scene for the four-star quarterback from Mission Viejo, Calif., as the Buffaloes offered but Fahey is still not certain if he'll take an official visit there. Advertisement Stanford remains the top contender for Fahey and the additions of GM Andrew Luck and coach Frank Reich, even in a shortened role, is a big selling point for the Cardinal. Fitzgerald has camped at Notre Dame a couple times and now the coaches came out to see him at spring practice so the new Irish offer is one he felt he earned. That's a big deal for the four-star receiver from Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep as Notre Dame is 'definitely' now a program he's seriously considering, along with many others. The message from the Alabama coaches to the current USC commit is that they want to coach him to be the best but even if they don't get to, they want to still be a part of his life and that made a big impact on him. Advertisement The four-star linebacker from Gainesville, Ga., remains committed to USC since July but others are definitely coming on strong. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH USC FANS AT The three-star quarterback from La Jolla (Calif.) Bishops committed to Iowa in early October and his relationship with offensive coordinator Tim Lester is very strong but the word in recent days is that some other visits could be happening. Cal offered on Friday and the expectation is for Herrera to get to Berkeley sooner rather than later as the Hawkeyes have some competition now. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH IOWA FANS AT The four-star defensive back from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin has been committed to Michigan since late July but a full round of official visits are coming up. Advertisement Starting in mid-May and going through June, Jennings will be at Auburn, Miami, Florida, Georgia and Michigan before having a better idea about his final decision. His sister runs track at Miami and all those programs are making a run at him. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MICHIGAN FANS AT The 2027 safety from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly remains very open in his recruitment especially this early and with so many schools getting involved. But three are standing out at this point. Miami, Arizona and USC have made an early move with Mack and that could have a big impact moving forward. A new offer from Georgia will definitely be one to watch for the 2027 four-star offensive tackle from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas especially since Matthews knows how well the Bulldogs develop players from his position. Advertisement That will be big moving forward for one of the top offensive linemen in the 2027 class with Tennessee, Nebraska and Oklahoma as the other standouts. McKeogh has flipped his dates for Penn State and Notre Dame only because it lined up when other top offensive recruits would be in South Bend and Happy Valley as those two remain the front-runners in his recruitment. Recent offers from Alabama and Ohio State are intriguing but it definitely seems like a two-team race right now for the Philadelphia (Pa.) LaSalle four-star offensive lineman. The four-star all-purpose back from Honey Grove, Texas, remains committed to Baylor and he has a great relationship with position coach Khenon Hall but others are pushing. Advertisement A visit to Oklahoma is very possible in June but a big trip to Stanford is coming up at the end of May as the Cardinal are pushing very hard to flip the four-star. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH BAYLOR FANS AT Offers have been flooding in for the 2027 cornerback from Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley and a few standouts have emerged. SMU remains pretty high on his list as the Mustangs have been involved for so long. Notre Dame, Oregon and TCU also are standing out a ton. A new offer from Georgia is huge as well and the word is the Bulldogs have moved maybe into his top three. Oregon is an offer Outhouse wants. Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas are the five standouts for the four-star tight end from Bowdon, Ga., and three of them are recruiting him the hardest at this point. Advertisement This could end up being a two-team street fight between Auburn and Georgia until the end but Florida is intriguing to him very much as well. Prothro is expected to visit all five in June. Over the last few days, Georgia and Texas have offered the three-star Georgia Tech cornerback commit from Quitman (Ga.) Brooks County. It will be something to watch, considering the success of the Bulldogs and the Longhorns. But the word now is that Stevenson remains happily locked in with the Yellow Jackets. Recruiting Rumor Mill: Top prospects enter key stretch before busy visits
Perhaps May is a little slower than April and a lot slower than what June will bring, but there is always plenty of news in recruiting. Here's the latest from Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney in this Recruiting Rumor Mill. RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Dallas MVPs | Ranking the QBs PREDICTIONS: Julian Lewis, USC in team rankings, Tyreek King Advertisement CLASS OF 2025 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker The five-star athlete from Spring Valley (Calif.) Mount Miguel was 'shocked' at how much he enjoyed his visit to Penn State and it was 'way better' than he expected. The Nittany Lions are going to stay among his front-runners moving forward. Can Penn State keep that momentum with Oregon, USC, Texas A&M and others heavily involved as well? The high three-star defensive tackle from Katy (Texas) Paetow recently missed a visit to Oklahoma State but five others have emerged as the front-runners in his recruitment. Campbell is mainly focused on the teams that are making him the biggest priority with SMU, Houston, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech and North Carolina leading the way. Advertisement A commitment is expected this Friday. The buzz around Cooper's recruitment (after a very brief commitment early in his recruitment to Georgia) has been around the Bulldogs getting him back with Miami, Ohio State and others still involved, and now Texas is very much in the picture. The Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade standout was recently in Austin, loved his interactions with the coaches and players, and it was made clear to him he's a top priority. Texas A&M, Penn State and Ohio State are the other front-runners for Evers, but SMU is going to be right there until the end for the four-star offensive lineman from Flower Mound, Texas. Advertisement His weekend trip there was phenomenal as he already feels like a 'fit' at the program and the coaching staff made it absolutely clear that they want him badly and they're determined not to lose him. Pitt, Louisville and UConn are three others to watch early on for the 2027 safety from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt but if Washington can keep up the momentum, the Huskies will be one to watch. Fuentes-Bream had a lot of one-on-one time with position coach Taylor Mays as the two watched film and talked football for an hour so the Huskies could be the early team to beat. The 2027 four-star running back from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School has been coy about his clear leaders but Ohio State is definitely going to be up there. His other visits also stood out with Ole Miss, Georgia and now Oregon among the favorites. Advertisement Gabriel Georges loved his interactions with all the coaches especially Dan Lanning and he was impressed by the talent in Eugene. It could be tough to pull him that far but the Ducks are in it. A lot impressed the four-star linebacker from Torrance (Calif.) Bishop Montgomery during his weekend visit to SMU, especially the people in the building and the prospect of being an early contributor for the Mustangs. SMU should stay in the running with Oregon and others, but Georgia is still very much the leader in his recruitment. A top 12 should be coming around midseason for the 2027 four-star safety from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco with a lot of SEC interest along with Notre Dame and Oregon on the watch list. Advertisement But USC could be the team to really watch, especially if the Trojans have a big season. Hill loved how passionate the players were about what's happening there and he loved interacting with the coaches. Oregon and BYU have been the early front-runners for the 2027 four-star quarterback from Tacoma (Wash.) Lincoln but now Cal has joined that list as well. A lot of things impressed Kaho during his weekend visit there but the 'culture running through the coaching staff' really made an impression on Kaho as the Golden Bears are now a very legitimate contender. Oklahoma, SMU, Houston and many others are going to be involved with Melvin, who has a top 10, but watch out for Arizona State in his recruitment. The four-star athlete from Cypress (Texas) Cypress Springs 'loved it down there' during a recent visit and the Sun Devils are definitely one of his top teams. Advertisement His relationship with coach Kenny Dillingham and position coach Bryan Carrington could give Arizona State an edge heading into June. The four-star edge rusher from Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger has been committed to Texas A&M since October but his eyes are getting opened to some other visits, seeing other campuses and seeing what else is potentially out there. Moala will be hard to flip since he respects the coaching staff so much, but Texas was just out to see him work out and now the Longhorns will be heavily involved with Tennessee, Michigan and UCLA also in the mix. Five programs are making the biggest impression on Obot with USC, Utah, Nebraska, Oregon and Michigan as the front-runners. The Trojans are up to 26 commitments but their recent message that they're building something special there has resonated with him. Advertisement All five remain involved but the feeling is still that the Trojans could have a slight edge right now. There is a long list for the 2027 high three-star cornerback with Duke, Syracuse, Penn State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Georgia standing out most. The Nittany Lions might have an edge especially after a recent visit where coach James Franklin and position coach Anthony Poindexter talked highly about his game and how he'd fit into the Penn State defense. Texas and Texas A&M continue to battle it out for the 2027 defensive tackle from Corinth (Texas) Lake Dallas and the Longhorns could have the edge for one big reason: Redmond loves his interactions with position coach Kenny Baker and the two hit it off during a recent visit to Austin. Oregon might still have an edge for the five-star defensive end but there is going to be some really heavy competition and a round of official visits in June before the Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon standout makes his decision. Advertisement Wesley will be back in Eugene and also go to Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Tennessee and USC before making a decision. The Ducks are recruiting him the hardest but all six of those programs have a shot. Florida State, Penn State and others aren't quitting. A new offer from Ohio State is 'amazing' for the 2027 running back from Memphis (Tenn.) Memphis Academy and while Williams isn't giving away any early favorites, the Buckeyes have definitely received his attention as the offer reinforces the work he's putting in. Auburn, Ole Miss, USC and others have offered early on, too. Vanderbilt could be making a significant push for Wyatt, especially after in-state four-star defensive back Caden Harris committed to the Commodores in recent days. It could also help that the Bell Buckle, Tenn., four-star standout lives less than an hour away from Nashville. But Tennessee is still the team to beat and as things settle, the Vols could be really tough to beat. LSU and others are involved, too.

Baldwin has a cousin who's an early enrollee with the Nittany Lions so getting to Happy Valley before the season is a major priority. Getting to Ohio State's June camp is also big. Ole Miss is very much in the picture for the four-star receiver from Birmingham (Ala.) Spain Park especially after visiting and meeting with offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. Advertisement Miami impressed him recently with Georgia and Tennessee also high, but Alabama is among his favorites and the Crimson Tide still might have the edge. Four programs are standing out the most for the four-star linebacker from Carthage, Texas, as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Baylor have emerged. Beck felt 'comfortable' during a recent visit to College Station and the Aggies are the team to beat but others are battling as well. Things still feel very new in the recruiting process for Brown especially after great visits to USC and Oregon and the 2027 four-star offensive tackle also had a great trip to Alabama as well. Those three along with Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Texas, Florida and Nebraska are standing out. Advertisement The Longhorns might have a slight edge for the Houston (Texas) Kingwood standout but many others have a chance. If Baylor wins out for Herrera, his relationship with position coach Mason Miller is going to play a major role. During a recent visit, the 2027 offensive tackle from Crowley, Texas, loved how Miller coached and his interactions with the players. The Bears are definitely an early major contender with TCU, Texas Tech and Oregon so far. Maybe Texas is too far ahead of others. However, during a meeting on Tuesday, Georgia associate head coach Donte Williams told Calicut he knows they're late but wants to be involved in his recruitment. The Bulldogs' offer is so big that they'll be there until the end. Advertisement The word is that the Houston (Texas) North Shore standout will definitely have Georgia in his top three as Texas, Ole Miss and many others stay in the mix. The speedy 2027 four-star receiver recently transferred from Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany to Pacific Palisades (Calif.) Palisades Charter and it sounds like he might not be headed far for college, either. Despite having more than a dozen offers, USC and UCLA are standing out most to Dezeurn, especially since he's so familiar with both staffs and is treated so well when he's on those campuses. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Miami and many others will be involved with the four-star defensive tackle from Fort Myers, Fla., but after his visit to Texas, the Longhorns now have the edge in his recruitment. Advertisement Guervil had an 'amazing' experience in Austin, loved his interactions with assistant coach Kenny Baker and others, and now has Texas as 'definitely the front-runner' in his recruitment. The five-star cornerback made another trip to USC over the weekend as the Trojans continue to set the pace in his recruitment and could be the team to beat. Oregon is definitely up there and Ohio State will be involved until the end but Hill could be inching closer to a decision. USC, Oklahoma and Washington are making a big move for Jandreau and his twin brother, Beau, and a recent visit with the Trojans definitely made a big impression. The amount of experience on that coaching staff, how they're letting their players play fast and aggressive, and so much more is pushing USC high on the list for the three-star safety from Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton. Many other top programs are going to be on the list for Jones including Virginia, which just offered, but Penn State's recent offer and visit will definitely be a major one to watch. The 2027 three-star offensive tackle from Poquoson, Va., loved his experience in Happy Valley and the fan support there. Kimble's visit to Texas was 'amazing' as he loved the big campus and the message to the 2027 four-star running back from Buffalo (N.Y.) Canisius was that the Longhorns like him a lot and how well he fits into their program. Advertisement Syracuse and Michigan also stand out, which has been a change since Ohio State and Oregon were the top teams earlier on. The high four-star edge rusher from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy loved his visit to Texas over the weekend and if Kreul ends up in Austin, one of the big reasons was because he likes assistant coaches LaAllan Clark and Pete Kwiatkowski. Kreul left Texas feeling like he was a 'top priority' and a great fit for its scheme. Oklahoma, Miami and many others remain heavily in the mix. He's setting official visits on Thursday. Notre Dame will remain one of Loumoli's top picks, especially since the Irish have such a great history of developing linebackers and have such a strong connection to the Polynesian community. The Irish will be a key player for the 2027 four-star linebacker from Bellevue (Wash.) Eastside Catholic along with Oregon, USC, Ohio State and others. The feeling is that Washington is still the team to beat. Florida and Florida State have been standouts for the 2027 running back from Gainesville, Ga., and now USC joins that top three. His recent visit to Los Angeles definitely stood out. He loves the 'amazing job' coach Lincoln Riley is doing and the idea of playing for the Trojans. New offers from Florida State and UCLA could change things but Thomas just had a great visit to Washington as the Huskies remain one of the front-runners in his recruitment. Some early enrollees were taking reps with the first team and that definitely stood out to the four-star offensive lineman from Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe. Advertisement Texas A&M, Ohio State, FSU and Minnesota are the others to watch. Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State and others remain involved with the five-star defensive end but after another visit to Oregon over the weekend the Ducks continue to look stronger and stronger. Wesley has loved Oregon since his first visit and the coaches have 'shown me the same love since.' The five-star will have the Ducks among his top teams later this year when he commits. He's taken some major visits and Whitehead wants to take some more before making a decision but after being at Penn State, the Nittany Lions are 'definitely on the top.' The 2027 four-star edge rusher from Chesterfield (Va.) Bird had a phenomenal talk with defensive line coach Deion Barnes.
