Benjamin Sesko insists Man United can 'fulfill all my ambitions' after £73.7m signing snubbed Newcastle - as Ruben Amorim drops major hint over Rasmus Hojlund future
Manchester United unveiled striker Benjamin Sesko on Friday and the new £73.7million signing from Red Bull Leipzig says he is convinced he can fulfil all his ambitions at the club. Sesko turned down Newcastle United to become the new figurehead for Ruben Amorim 's revamped attack. Sesko said: 'When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon.' United finished 15th in the Premier League last season, but that has not deterred Sesko as he signed a five year contract. 'From the moment that I arrived, I could feel the positive energy and family environment that the club has created. It is clearly the perfect place to reach my maximum level and fulfil all of my ambitions. 'The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future,' he added. Sesko was paraded at Old Trafford alongside United's other summer signings, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, and their arrival will trigger departures. Amorim gave a large hint to his intentions around striker Rasmus Hojlund by leaving the Dane on the bench for yesterday's laboured friendly win on penalties over Fiorentina and started Mason Mount through the middle. Afterwards Amorim admitted: 'At times we struggled without the reference as a striker... we have a new striker now.' United are prepared to sell Hojlund for £30m but AC Milan want to take him on a season long loan and have offered a £4m loan fee. United have also told Chelsea they want £50m for Alejandro Garnacho with the Argentine winger set on a move to Stamford Bridge. Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia are poised to leave also while left-back Harry Amass is wanted on loan by Sheffield Wednesday. United remain in the market to add another midfielder and have made contact with Carlos Baleba's representatives but that has not endeared them to his club Brighton who have no desire to sell.

Rasmus Hojlund future: Man United's stance on player revealed
Manchester United's pursuit of a new striker has put Rasmus Hojlund's future at the club in major doubt. Struggles in a red shirt The Dane has only been at the club for two seasons but he has struggled in a United shirt. He only scored four Premier League goals last season and despite scoring against AFC Bournemouth in pre-season, he is still surplus to requirements for most fans. As the Red Devils pursue Benjamin Sesko this summer, it has put major question marks on what future, if any, Hojlund will have at the club. He has already stated that he wants to stay at Old Trafford but there have been reports of numerous teams, including Red Bull Leipzig being interested in negotiating a deal for the forward. Hojlund may have little choice The Athletic report that despite Hojlund's public desire to stay, the situation is more complex than this. They add, 'for Hojlund, the Sesko pursuit creates a fresh review of his circumstances. He and Sesko are both 22, an age when regular games are essential, but each of them getting that in Amorim's system is implausible. Were he to arrive, Sesko would, as the new signing, expect to be starting each week if fit.' The fact that United will not play European football, therefore playing less matches, will only compound this situation. Hojlund has not been explicitly told by United that he is up for sale, hence his public stance. Nonetheless, 'should United make it clear to him that he needs to leave, that could change.' Hojlund price drop It must be noted that, 'Hojlund was signed in a potential £72m deal from Atalanta in 2023, but United acknowledge internally they might now have to accept lower than his book value, which stands at a little under £45m.' The BBC have also reported that the Danish striker would be available for as little as £30 million. They add that, 'if Hojlund was sold for £30m, it would effectively be a loss for United given the forward's 'book value' is £43m as he is two years into the five-year contract he signed.' Whilst United may not have told him he is for sale, offering him around for such a cut price deal is a relatively clear indication of how they feel on the matter. United can sign a striker without sales What's more, 'it is not impossible that United can raise the finances for Sesko without Hojlund leaving, given they could yet recoup significant fees on Alejandro Garnacho and Antony. United could agree the Sesko deal before selling players, so long as it happens before next year's PSR deadline.' Regardless, were Sesko or another big name forward to arrive, he may prefer to search for a new club that could provide him with essential first team minutes for his future development, especially in a World Cup year. Manchester United Have Begun Talks To Recruit This Bundesliga Striker: Dream Option For Amorim?
In a recent report, talkSPORT mentioned that Manchester United have begun talks to recruit Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. It has been stated that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Slovenia international to Old Trafford in this summer transfer window. Sesko's Impressive Rise In German Football The 22-year-old caught the eye with his performances as the focal point of RB Leipzig's attack in the previous campaign. Sesko banged in 21 goals and grabbed six assists in 45 matches for the German outfit last season in all competitions. The Slovenia international gave a good account of himself in the final third as he averaged 2.5 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He kept 43.9% of his attempts on target. However, Sesko needs to work on improving his ball distribution up top after making just 67.6% of his attempted passes in the top tier of German football (stats via His current deal at RB Leipzig will expire in the summer of 2029 which could make it tough for the Red Devils to snap him up on the cheap this off-season. Sesko excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal and can be a decent finisher in the final third. He can create the odd chance for his teammates up top and is a good dribbler with the ball. The Slovenia international can use his strong 1.95m frame to win some 50-50 aerial duels for his team. However, Sesko needs to work on improving his link-up play in the opposition half. Furthermore, there are some concerns over whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to get him on board this summer. Sesko would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Man United boss Ruben Amorim's frontline. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams next season. At 22, Sesko has the potential to be a future star in English football. He might even help the Mancunian club compete for a European spot in the Premier League. Thus, Sesko would be a dream option for Amorim to consider in this summer transfer period.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Among The Clubs Hoping To Land This Ligue 1 Forward: Should Frank Move In For Him?
In a recent report, RMC Sport stated that Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs hoping to land Rennes forward Arnaud Kalimuendo. However, it is believed that Spurs would have to rival Nottingham Forest, Red Bull Leipzig and Villarreal in the race to land the French striker this summer. Kalimuendo's Impressive Numbers In Ligue 1 Last Season The 23-year-old had a decent campaign at the French club as he put in a run of productive performances for them in Ligue 1. Kalimuendo found the back of the net 18 times and earned four assists in 34 matches for his current employers last season in multiple competitions. The French sensation deserves a ton of credit for averaging 2.37 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He kept 42.6% of his attempts on target. Kalimuendo was even accurate when distributing possession in the opponent's half after completing 78.8% of his attempted passes in the French top tier (stats via His current deal at the French club will run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, it would be tough for Spurs to get a deal done for Kalimuendo on the cheap this off-season. (Photo by Juan Manuel) Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Move In For Kalimuendo? Kalimuendo excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in on target. He has proven his worth as a good finisher in the final third and has got the vision to create a few promising chances for others around him up top. The French talent is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent's penalty area. However, he might struggle to cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to bring him on board in this transfer period. We can expect Kalimuendo to bring more firepower to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank's attack. He has what it takes to compete with Dominic Solanke for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season. At 23, the best is yet to come from Kalimuendo. Thus, Spurs would do well to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer. He might even help the London giants compete across all fronts in the coming years. All in all, Frank should focus on moving in for Kalimuendo ahead of the new campaign.
