Lions v Australia, third Test: When is it, where to watch on TV and latest odds
The British and Irish Lions have been recreating a challenge from the South Korean dystopian survival thriller 'Squid Game' to freshen up training ahead of Saturday's final Test against Australia. Andy Farrell's squad played their own version of 'Red Light, Green Light', a game from the hit TV series whereby competitors are shot by snipers if they fail to stop moving when the lights on a giant doll change colour. 'The whole field was covered in equipment they could hide behind,' said attack coach Andrew Goodman, who revealed that prop Tom Clarkson was the first contestant to be 'killed'. 'The staff were dressed up in all that kit, the speakers were all set up, it was a bit of fun. There were people in the top tier keeping an eye on everyone. It was a good crack. 'Every week we've done things like that. It keeps the boys engaged and fresh and it's not just going into a meeting where it's rugby all the time. There are little bits like that that make it enjoyable as well.' The Lions took an unassailable 2-0 lead against Australia after winning the second Test 29-26 in Melbourne last weekend. Lions The British and Irish Lions' quest to whitewash Australia has been reinforced by the return from injury of Joe McCarthy, Sione Tuipulotu and Mack Hansen, but Garry Ringrose will play no part in Saturday's final Test. McCarthy, Tuipulotu and Hansen are in contention for the Sydney showdown after missing Saturday's 29-26 victory over the Wallabies that clinched the series with a game to spare. All three have completed their rehab for their respective foot, hamstring and foot injuries and took part in Tuesday's low-key training session. He then took the reins fully on a temporary basis upon Steve Borthwick's departure to England in 2022. Wigglesworth joined Borthwick before the 2023 World Cup and has been leading England's attack since. Last year, he was promoted to senior assistant coach in Borthwick's set-up and his inclusion is reward for England's second-place Six Nations finish. Andrew Goodman Age: 42 Current job: Ireland backs coach Lions experience: Zero tours Coaching credentials: The New Zealand-born Goodman is the sole 'foreign' coach in Farrell's cabal and has been running the Irish attack alongside the head coach since the 2024 Six Nations, when he replaced England World Cup winner Mike Catt. Goodman was poached from Leinster, where he was the brains behind the province's attack from the start of the 2022-23 season, having helped the Crusaders to the Super Rugby title a few months earlier. The former fly-half and centre – who played for Leinster between two stints in Japan – was also a part of Samoa's coaching team at the 2023 World Cup. Ireland won the 2024 Six Nations with Goodman as an assistant. John Dalziel Age: 48 Current job: Scotland forwards coach Lions experience: Zero tours Coaching credentials: A former flanker with Gala, Melrose, London Scottish and then the professional (now defunct) Border Reivers outfit, Dalziel joined the senior Scotland set-up as forwards coach ahead of the 2020-21 season. Between his playing retirement and role alongside Gregor Townsend, he was the forwards and head coach at Melrose, the head coach of Scotland under-20s and sevens, and the forwards coach of London Scottish and then Glasgow. It was from the Warriors where he was poached by Townsend in 2020. Scotland won the most line-outs of any nation in the 2025 Six Nations under Dalziel's tutelage. John Fogarty Age: 47 Current job: Ireland scrum coach Lions experience: Zero tours Coaching credentials: Having began his playing career in 2000 for Munster, it took Fogarty another 10 years to win his first and only cap for Ireland, as a replacement in the loss to New Zealand. Fogarty, whose playing career was more well known for stints at hooker with Connacht and Leinster, did however make numerous appearances for Ireland A before his retirement because of concussion in 2010. Upon retirement, Fogarty became an elite player development officer with Leinster, while also fulfilling the role of scrum coach with Ireland Under-20s. In June 2015 he became the senior scrum coach at Leinster before moving up to the international arena in 2020. As with Easterby, Ireland have won two Six Nations titles with one Grand Slam since Fogarty's arrival. Johnny Sexton Age: 49 Current job: Ireland (consultant) Lions experience: Two tours Coaching credentials: The legendary Ireland fly-half began work with national set-up on a consultancy basis for the 2024 Autumn Nations Series. He returned in time for the 2025 Six Nations campaign. Sexton has held clear-the-air talks with Scotland fly-half Finn Russell who he had previously described as 'flashy'. 'It's probably been blown out of proportion,' said Sexton. 'We had a handshake and a brief chat. I'm here to help him now. I'm here to give him experiences and answer questions. Meet the real voice behind Squid Game's famous doll, and where you've seen her on TV before without realising
IT'S one of the most famous faces in the South Korean TV show. But as Squid Game returns to Netflix for a third series, people are only just finding out who voices the infamous doll - and they've seen her on the small screen before. 7 7 7 Reagan To is the 13-year-old star whose voice has become synonymous with the English dub of the programme - with her singsong "Red light, green light" providing the backdrop for the shocking first game in series one. She took to Facebook recently to share a Reel which showed her voicing the character in series one in 2021, season two in 2024 and season three this year. "Thank you Squid Game for having me since 2021. Season 1, 2, and 3 - the voice of the Squid Game doll," Reagan wrote alongside the video. This time around, the most famous song from the series is arguably Hide and Seek - where she sings "Hide hide, it's time to play, don't let your hair give you away". In a post on her Instagram page, Reagan revealed it took her a whole two hours to get the song perfect. "Fun fact: recorded for two hours for the hide and seek song," she wrote over the top of the Instagram video. "Another Squid Game haunted song gets stuck in my head, sorry," Reagan added in the caption. She was quickly praised in the comments section, with one writing: "It's too impressive that you've been doing it for 5 years and it's just getting better and better!" "Loved the new season and the songssss," another praised. "So amazing my friend!" a third added. Squid Game viewer spots major filming blunder "This is so cool - I love your voice!" someone else said. Reagan also voiced character Ga-Yeong in the English dub of Squid Game. Others admitted that they'd finally figured out where they'd seen Reagan before. She's also famous for her role in the TV show Young Sheldon, in which she starred as Mei-Tung - Sheldon's class competitor who he enlists to tutor him. "Pain is the best teacher," she's famous for telling Sheldon, while rapping him on the knuckles with a pencil when he gets the answer wrong. "Are you that girl from Young Sheldon?" one person asked in the comments on the Instagram. "Yes!" Reagan replied. The third season of Squid Game has broken records for Netflix, after becoming the biggest-ever TV launch for the streaming service - racking up more than 60.1 million views in its first three days of release. Netflix's 'Squid Game' concludes with Season 3 this Friday
There's only one more round left as 'Squid Game' is set to conclude on Netflix in a couple hours. The third and final season of the thrilling South Korean series will be released today, June 27, 3 p.m., and Netflix has been teasing the upcoming premiere on X. '[Four] hours and 56 minutes until Squid Game,' the streaming giant said, referencing the main character Player 456 or Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae). Another tweet showed a photo of two dolls of the iconic Red Light Green Light game. In the final trailer for Season 3, Gi Hun said, 'I'm trying to put an end to it,' after a failed rebellion in the second season. Another teaser revealed that there will be more deadly games in the third season. Following the success of 'Squid Game,' several cast members and the show itself won top acting awards from renowned international organizations like the Golden Globes and SAG Awards. We don't know yet exactly how many episodes the final season of "Squid Game" will be, however the final season premieres on Netflix on June 27. "Squid Game" began as a pandemic era hit, premiering in September 2021. The dystopian survival thriller quickly broke streaming records to become one of the most popular shows on Netflix. It has since spawned the reality TV show "Squid Game: The Challenge" as well as the video game "Squid Game: Unleashed". Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has shared some ideas about possible future spinoffs, including telling the backstories of other characters. In "Squid Game", a wealthy and clandestine organization recruits people drowning in debt to participate in a competition but there's a catch: they are not told at first that they will be playing for their lives. They find out what the stakes are in the first game, "Red Light Green Light" when losers are murdered by snipers. With every player killed, the pot grows bigger, with the final survivor promised a grand total of 45.6 million won (approximately $31 million dollars). Once the players find out their lives are at risk, they have the opportunity to vote to end the games, but most want to push forward because of the promise of more money. Seong Gi-hun is the sole survivor of the games in Season 1, and in the beginning of Season 2 we learn he has dedicated his winnings to exposing the people running the game and stopping the carnage for good.
