The beloved BBC crime drama is officially returning for a fourth series, with new details emerging about the team at Shipton Abbott.
Beyond Paradise's Detective Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) is returning for another round of tantalising mysteries on the south coast in Shipton Abbott.
That's right, the beloved BBC crime drama will be back for a fourth series and the great news was confirmed by Red Planet Pictures on Tuesday, 29 July. Not only that, but it was announced that production has already begun on the new episodes.

When will Beyond Paradise series 4 be released?
Red Planet Productions confirmed that production had begun on Beyond Paradise's first episode on 21 July with a picture of the very first slate of the series. The image showed a coastal view behind the slate and revealed that the episode itself will be directed by Fiona Walton.
The Instagram social media post read: "We're back in Shipton Abbott! Filming has begun this week on the brand-new series of #BeyondParadise. Expect plenty of puzzling twists and turns as the team gear up for another series full of mystery, humour, and heart on the sunny shores of Devon and Cornwall."
The BBC hasn't yet confirmed when series 4 will return to screens, but it is likely to continue the tradition of airing in the first half of 2026. The broadcaster will likely confirm the release date closer to the time of its release.
What will Beyond Paradise series 4 be about?
Series 3 ended with a dramatic twist in Humphrey and fiancée Martha (Sally Bretton) having to say goodbye to their foster child Rosie. The young girl had just started to become comfortable with her new foster parents, and they had grown close to her too, but in the finale, the time came for her to return to her birth parents.
Humphrey and Martha's journey as foster parents is an important part of the series and it will likely continue to be a significant narrative in the next series.
Elsewhere, the show has been exploring the personal relationships of several supporting characters, such as Esther (Zahra Ahmadi) and her budding romance with Archie (Jamie Bamber).
