This Morning star reveals she's married as she shows off her wedding ring on return to show
A THIS Morning star revealed she's tied the knot with her partner Tom as she returned to the show today. Guest chef Poppy O'Toole, 32, beamed as she revealed her wedding ring in the studio as she was congratulated by hosts Dermot O'Leary and Sian Welby. She wrote: "Well you know how we organised a wedding in like four weeks… turns out you need to give at least 29 days notice and we forgot haha. Very us. "Unconventionally we had our 'wedding' two weeks ago where we wrote our own vows and had our friend lead the ceremony (she did amazing) so although it wasn't 'official', it was the best day of my life!! "So this morning we did all the official stuff at the registry office (shout out Redditch xx) with just our parents. We didn't have a photographer so Tom decided to do a little photoshoot of me in the waiting room on his iPhone. Very glam. Very high fashion. "Moral of the story: it doesn't matter where you are in the world, if you're with the people you love and having a laugh, you're very very lucky. When she was just 18, Poppy landed an apprenticeship at Purnell's in Birmingham where she quickly rose up the ranks as she continued her cooking career in London. When the coronavirus pandemic swept across the UK, Poppy was devastated to learn that she had lost her job as a junior sous chef - but then she discovered TikTok. During lockdown Poppy and her partner Tom left London and returned back home to Birmingham - and the TikTok newbie began posting recipe videos online to keep herself busy. Advertisement Poppy and Tom realised that her lockdown hobby had promise when they produced a recipe series called What a Chef Eats in a Day - showing her audience how to make tasty, home-cooked meals without too much hassle. Her content gradually began to get more traction - and her account grew in followers and views. Speaking to the Independent Poppy said: 'It gradually got more and more traction, and one of the videos got 20,000 views. "And then, in June, TikTok noticed me and got in touch and, in between applying for jobs in supermarkets because I had no money, and not even getting through to an interview, I did a campaign with them called Learn on TikTok.' Advertisement However, the loveable chef really rose to fame when she posted a a compilation of all the greatest potato hits - which earned her a staggering 1 million followers and the face of potato TikTok.
