The summer heat continues through August and Ontario's casinos promise a hot entertainment lineup through the month as well. Here's a list of who is performing at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Fallsview Casino, Pickering Casino, Casino Rama, Caesars Windsor and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Ottawa in August. The north Etobicoke casino features The Theatre, a 5,000-seat venue. Here's who's playing: Aug. 14 British metalcore band Architects is playing as part of the 2025 North America Tour. Supporting artists Erra and Holywatr will also play. Aug. 16 Singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, who won the first of her nine Grammy Awards 25 years ago, continues to create music that lifts people up. Aug. 20 Chevelle, an American rock band that has been playing for nearly 25 years, will be joined by supporting artists Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society. Aug. 21 RuPaul's Drag Race Werq the World takes you behind the velvet ropes of what's described as the most exclusive awards show in 'herstory'. Aug. 30 American country band Old Dominion is performing as part of the How Good is That world tour with special guest Redferrin. Aug. 31 Michael Learns To Rock, a Danish band that formed in 1988, entertains its audiences with music featuring heartfelt melodies and timeless hits. Dickson County animal rescue takes in a dozen puppies reportedly dumped in the woods
DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Twelve puppies are recovering after a woman found them in the woods. Dickson County authorities are investigating the case and believe the animals were dumped off Woods Valley Road in Charlotte. 📧 Have breaking news come to you: → 'They're very sweet and loving and despite being dumped, they are very trusting,' director of Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, Lavonne Redferrin, said. Redferrin said the puppies appear to be about eight weeks old and she's not sure of the breed. They've all been to the vet and have a myriad of problems. 'They have coccidia. They were loaded with ticks and fleas,' Redferrin said. 'One has a hole in her neck from a flybot.' As of publication, eight of the twelve puppies have found foster families. 'They don't seem shy, which tells me whoever dumped them was around them some for them to be as social as they are,' Redferrin said. '…Animals are so helpless and so vulnerable — have no voice of their own and they're at the mercy of people.' Redferrin said dog dumping has been a problem not just in Dickson County, but across the Volunteer State; she added animal shelters in the area are full. 'This is very prevalent,' Redferrin said. 'There's not a week that we're not contacted about abandoned or dumped animals, many of whom are starved [and/or] injured.' ⏩ She advised people to make sure they're ready for the lifelong responsibility of a pet before bringing one home and stressed the importance of spaying and neutering. Uncle Kracker, TLC named in Lallycooler festival lineup
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The full festival lineup for the inaugural Lallycooler Music Festival has been announced. How tariffs could impact South Dakota farmers Headlining Friday, July 11, is country music sensation Sam Hunt. Friday's full lineup also includes Redferrin, Tyler Braden and Confederate Railroad. Headlining Saturday, July 12, is Pitbull. Saturday's full lineup also includes TLC, Uncle Kracker, Frank Ray and Kory and the Fireflies. The festival will include merchandise tents, unique vendors, a variety of food trucks, a semi-trailer-sized mobile bar and a festival DJ, a news release says. On Friday, music will begin at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, music will begin at 4 p.m. A full setlist will be released closer to the festival date. Shuttle and gate times also will be announced soon.
