Kiwanis Club steps up to support new Kiddyland at Western Fair
A local service club has stepped up to sponsor rides and attractions for kids at the 148th edition of the Western Fair next month.
The Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London has presented a $10,000 cheque to the Western Fair District.
The money will help the fair develop a new Kiddyland Space next to the popular Barn attraction.
'We look at the Western Fair as London's largest community celebration. We're fast approaching our 150th edition of the fair, and this type of sponsorship really helps us make sure that we get there,' said Reg Ash, the CEO of the Western Fair District.
'At Kiwanis, we support one child, one village at a time around the world,' explained Paul Garrett, the president of the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London.
'We want to make sure that we nurture the toddler stage, and thought this would be a great event for them to learn to engage their brain in ways that are going to make them fulfilled as they grow older and have some fun, have some excitement. Because there's no better way to learn than having a laugh.'
