Emergency services attended but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and female passenger of the HGV were not injured. The road was closed until around 4.30am on Sunday while investigations were carried out. Biker dead after horror crash involving lorry on Scots road as police launch probe
Police Scotland officers are appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash. A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a Scots road. The 64-year-old's bike collided with a heavy goods vehicle near Logie, Moray, yesterday afternoon. The incident involving the white Honda CB1300 bike took place at around 6.30pm on the A940, the road between the towns of Forres and Grantown-on-Spey. The lorry was being driven by a man and he had a female passenger, and neither of them were injured in the crash, which is now being investigated by Police Scotland. "The rider of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and female passenger of the HGV were not injured. The road was closed until around 4.30am while investigations were carried out." Motorcyclist, 72, killed in HGV crash named
A motorcyclist killed in a crash with an HGV in Shropshire has been named by police as Mark Fitzgerald. The 72-year-old was described by family as "a much loved brother, uncle and friend". Officers have repeated their appeal for information about the crash at 11:30 GMT on Monday on the A41 at Sambrook near Hinstock.
