
Biker dead after horror crash involving lorry on Scots road as police launch probe
Police Scotland officers are appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.
A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a Scots road. The 64-year-old's bike collided with a heavy goods vehicle near Logie, Moray, yesterday afternoon.
The incident involving the white Honda CB1300 bike took place at around 6.30pm on the A940, the road between the towns of Forres and Grantown-on-Spey.
The lorry was being driven by a man and he had a female passenger, and neither of them were injured in the crash, which is now being investigated by Police Scotland.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses in a bid to establish exactly what happened, and posted the appeal on the Police Scotland North East Facebook page.
"The incident happened around 6.30pm on Saturday, 10 May, 2025, and involved a white Honda CB1300 motorcycle and a grey Renault HGV.
"The rider of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver and female passenger of the HGV were not injured. The road was closed until around 4.30am while investigations were carried out."
Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time. I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam of the area at the time to contact us."
