Renault Announces Stephane Deblaise As CEO For India
Renault Group announced the appointment of Stephane Deblaise as Chief Executive Officer of Renault Group in India, effective September 1, 2025. In this role, he will be responsible for defining and executing the Group's strategy in India. All Renault Group entities in the country will report to him. The brand further explained that he will report directly to Francois Provost, Renault Group Chief of Procurement, Partnerships, and Public Affairs Officer. In addition to his current responsibilities as Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), Venkatram Mamillapalle will support Stephane Deblaise on corporate affairs in India to help structure the Group's mid-term growth strategy in the region. Stephane Deblaise, 52 years old, is a graduate of Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School. He began his career at Saft Batteries before joining Renault Group in 2000 as an Advanced Process Engineer. Over the past two decades, he has held several key positions across the Group's global operations, including Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Entry Program in Latin America in 2009; Vice President, Product Planning & Programs Mat Dongfeng-Renault in China in 2014; Worldwide C&D Segment Program Director in France in 2017; and Vice President, Renault Group Vehicles and Cross Car Line Program in 2021. Since 2022, Deblaise has served as CEO of Renault Korea, where he led key transformation initiatives, including positioning the company as a global development and production hub for mid- and large-sized vehicles and modernizing the Busan plant for multi-energy vehicle production. Mr. Deblaise's appointment to Renault Group India reflects the Group's strong confidence in his leadership and underlines the strategic importance of India as a key pillar in Renault's global growth ambitions.

Renault Group has announced the appointment of Stephane Deblaise as the new Chief Executive Officer for its India operations, effective September 1, 2025. In his new role, Deblaise will be responsible for steering the Group's strategic direction in the Indian market. All Renault Group entities in the country will report directly to him. Deblaise will report to Francois Provost, Chief of Procurement, Partnerships and Public Affairs Officer at Renault Group. As part of the leadership transition, Venkatram Mamillapalle , the current Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), will continue in his role while additionally supporting Deblaise on corporate affairs. This is aimed at facilitating the company's mid-term growth strategy in India. Extensive global experience Deblaise, 52, is a graduate of Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School. He joined Renault Group in 2000 and has held several key roles across markets including Latin America, China, France and South Korea. His past assignments include Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Entry Program in Latin America, Vice President of Product Planning at Dongfeng-Renault in China, and Program Director for the C&D segment globally. Most recently, he served as CEO of Renault Korea , where he led the company's transition to a development and production hub for mid- and large-sized multi-energy vehicles. Strategic importance of India Renault stated that Deblaise's appointment underlines the strategic importance of the Indian market in the company's global growth roadmap. India is expected to play a central role as the Group pushes ahead with its 'Renaulution' transformation strategy focused on electrification and value creation. Renault India operates a manufacturing plant in Oragadam, Chennai, with a capacity of 4.8 lakh units annually, and has a retail and service network of over 800 touchpoints nationwide.
