Sophie Turner Is Trapped in a Home Invasion in Trust Trailer

Republic Pictures has shared the official Trust trailer for its newest suspense thriller, starring Emmy nominee Sophie Turner. This marks the Game of Thrones star's first movie as the lead in a long while, after 2022's Survive with Corey Hawkins. The movie is currently scheduled to arrive in select theaters on August 22, 2025. 'After a scandal, a Hollywood starlet (Turner) retreats to a remote cabin—but she's not alone. Betrayed by the man she trusted most, she's trapped in a brutal game of survival. She can hide, but she can't run,' reads the movie's synopsis. Check out the Trust trailer below (watch more trailers): The video features Turner as a long-time TV actress who tries to get a way from the Hollywood noise for a while after getting involved in a scandal. However, what was supposed to be a peaceful retreat quickly turns into a home invasion. Joining Turner are Rhys Coiro, Billy Campbell, Peter Mensah, Forrest Goodluck, Gianni Paolo, Renata Vaca and Katey Sagal. Trust is directed by Carlson Young from a screenplay written by Gigi Levangie. The R-rated movie is produced by Miles Koules, Ketura Kestin, and Oren Koules, with Daniel J. Heffner, Claire Kupchak, and Lena Roklin serving as executive producers. 13 Queer Movies We're Excited To Watch In 2025

If 2024 proved anything, it's that queer storytelling is no longer confined to the fringes—it's thriving across genres, platforms, and budgets. From watching the emotionally charged All of Us Strangers to power-packed performances in Challengers, mainstream studios embraced LGBTQ+ narratives with more depth and indie films continued to push boundaries with fresh perspectives and bold storytelling. As we step into 2025, the momentum isn't slowing down. Whether it's groundbreaking queer horror, heartfelt coming-of-age dramas, or unapologetically joyful rom-coms, this year promises an exciting slate of films that celebrate, challenge, and expand LGBTQ+ representation on screen. Here are the must-watch queer movies of 2025! 1. A Nice Indian Boy Instagram: @wayfarerstudios The film stars Karan Soni as Naveen, a socially reserved doctor, and Jonathan Groff as Jay, an artist adopted by Indian parents. The story follows Naveen as he brings his fiancé, Jay, home to meet his traditional Indian family, who must navigate accepting his white, orphaned boyfriend while helping them plan the Indian wedding of their dreams. Even though the movie is not releasing in India, we hope it does because we rarely get to see lighthearted queer romcoms and it would be a delight to watch it on the big screen. 2. Twinless Republic Pictures "Twinless" is starring Dylan O'Brien in dual roles as Roman and his late twin, Rocky. The film explores grief and identity as Roman befriends Dennis (Sweeney) in a twin bereavement support group. It has already been making noise on the internet due to a certain steamy scene shared by Dylan O'Brien and James Sweeney raising the anticipation for the watch. 3.
