Crackdown On Illegal Labour In Bahrain Leads To 242 Deportations
MANAMA, July 15: The Labour Market Regulatory Authority of Bahrain (LMRA) has announced the completion of 1,167 inspection campaigns and site visits across the Kingdom between June 29 and July 12, 2025. The operation led to the detention of 19 irregular workers and the deportation of 242 individuals found in violation of labour and residency regulations. According to the LMRA, the inspections uncovered a range of legal breaches related to the Labour Market Regulatory Law and Bahrain's Residency Law. Appropriate legal action has been initiated against those found in violation. A total of 1,146 inspections were carried out at various commercial establishments across all four governorates, supplemented by 21 joint campaigns. These included one in the Capital Governorate, seven in Muharraq, three in the Northern Governorate, and ten in the Southern Governorate. The coordinated efforts were conducted in collaboration with several government entities, including the Ministry of Interior—represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the relevant police directorates, and the Coast Guard—as well as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Social Insurance Organization. The LMRA reiterated its commitment to ongoing collaboration with government bodies to intensify inspections across the Kingdom, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the stability, competitiveness, and legal integrity of the labour market. The authority stressed that such enforcement actions are crucial to preserving Bahrain's economic and social security. The LMRA also renewed its call for public cooperation in reporting illegal labour practices. Kids take to wheels as holiday starts
KUWAIT CITY, July 9: With the start of the summer vacation, traffic patrols intensified their campaigns against violators of traffic rules and regulations, resulting in the referral of 37 adolescents to the Juvenile Prosecution for driving without a license over the past seven days. The weekly statistics of traffic patrols revealed the issuance of 18,741 traffic violation citations, impounding of 46 vehicles, seizure of 57 wanted vehicles; and detention of three individuals found to be in abnormal condition, 22 individuals who failed to present valid identification documents, and 116 others who violated the Residency Law, are wanted by law for involvement in various crimes and absconders. Meanwhile, officers from the General Department of Emergency Patrols arrested 46 individuals for the possession and consumption of drugs, and referred them to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).

Saudi Arabia Deports 8,051 Illegal Residents In A Week
A total of 17,863 illegal residents were arrested during inspections across Saudi Arabia in a inspections were carried out by the security forces in collaboration with the relevant government agencies, during the period between June 26 and July 2, the Ministry of Interior revealed on Saturday. Those who were arrested include 10,746 violators of the Residency Law, 4,362 violators of the Border Security Law, and 2,755 violators of the Labor Law. The ministry said that a total of 8051 illegal residents were deported while 6,839 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents and 2,392 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations. The total number of people who were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom accounted for 1,507, of whom 33 percent were Yemeni nationals, 65 percent Ethiopian nationals, and two percent belonged to other nationalities. Some 26 people, involved in giving transportation, shelter, and employment for violators, were also arrested. A total of 13,362 illegal residents, including 11,874 men and 1,488 women, are currently undergoing various phases of legal procedures as part of punitive measures against them. The Ministry of Interior has warned that any person, who facilitates the illegal entry of individuals into the Kingdom, transports them on its territory, provides them with shelter or any other assistance or service may be penalized with up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to SR1 million. It noted that the vehicles used for transportation or houses used for giving shelter will be confiscated. The ministry urged the public to report any cases of violation by calling the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and the numbers 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.

LMRA Conducts 741 Inspection Visits, Deports 139 Violators in One Week
Manama – The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) carried out 741 inspection visits between June 22 and 28, 2025, uncovering 19 illegal workers and deporting 139 violators of Bahrain's labour and residency laws. During this period, LMRA teams conducted 729 standalone inspections across all governorates and joined 12 coordinated campaigns—two each in the Capital and Muharraq governorates, three in the Northern Governorate, and five in the Southern Governorate. Key participants included the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence, the various provincial security directorates, the Coast Guard Command, the Social Insurance Organization, and the Supreme Council for Environment. Inspectors identified multiple breaches of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Kingdom's Residency Law. Legal action has been initiated against all recorded offences. LMRA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with government partners to intensify inspection efforts nationwide, safeguarding marketplace stability, economic security, and social well‑being. The authority also called on the public to support these efforts by reporting any labour law violations or illegal employment practices via its online complaint form at through the national suggestions and complaints system (Tawasul), or by calling the LMRA Contact Centre at 17506055.
