Retta reveals details about 'Parks and Rec' cast group chat
The 'Parks and Recreation' cast will always be family. Retta, who played Donna Meagle on the hit NBC sitcom, exclusively told The Post that the cast is still in touch — and often. 'We have a group text where everyone shares graduations, birthdays, running into old crew members, because everyone ends up working with the crew from the original show, and so whenever we're with somebody else from the crew, we send pictures,' she said. 9 Retta in Season 4 of 'Parks and Recreation.' ©NBC/Courtesy Everett Collection 9 Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Amy Poehler, Jim O'Heir, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Retta, Rob Lowe in 'Parks and Rec.' ©NBC/Courtesy Everett Collection Retta, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Paul Schneider and Jim O'Heir starred in the mockumentary series about a fictional Indiana town's Parks Department. 'She goes, 'This was 10 years ago today,' and then we all just go on a rant about whatever that was about,'' the 63-year-old shared. O'Heir added: 'It's just personal. Earlier this year, Jones told GoldDerby that she's 'ready any time' to join a 'Parks and Recreation' revival. 9 Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Retta, Aziz Ansari in 'Parks and Recreation' Season 6. ©NBC/Courtesy Everett Collection 'Oh man, I hope sometime soon,' said Jones, who played Ann Perkins. 'I know [creator] Mike Schur was like, 'There has to be a reason for us to do it. We can't just do it.' But I would love that.' Schur, for his part, addressed the possibility of a revival with Variety in 2019. 'I don't feel like we left anything on the table. I would never ever say never,' Schur stated. 'The chance to do it again, should it arise, would be incredible, but we would only do it if we all felt like there was something compelling us to do it.' 'If one single person said no, we wouldn't do it,' he added.

Dedication ceremonies planned
The Appalachian Freedom Heritage Tourism Initiative will host two dedication ceremonies in June, unveiling the historical markers indicating sites added to the National Service's National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. They will be: -June 4, 10 a.m.: The Campbell House, 305 North Fifth St., Ironton. The house was a station for Underground Railroad operations in Lawrence County and the Campbells worked with other abolitionists to assist freedom seekers in the area. At 11:30 a.m., the ceremony moves to the African Methodist Church, 514 South Eighth St., Ironton. Known as Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the place of worship was founded by Retta and Gabe N. Johnson, who helped freedom seekers escape through the Hanging Rock Iron District. -June 8, 4 p.m.: Pleasant Green Baptist Church and Allen Chapel AME Church, both in Portsmouth. Pleasant Green Baptist Church is the Portsmouth's oldest active Black Baptist congregation, founded by formerly enslaved individuals and allies. Allen Chapel AME Church has roots tracing back to the pre-Civil War era; the church played a pivotal role in supporting freedom seekers in Portsmouth. As a central institution within the local Black community, the church's members, including John J. Minor and his wife, Martha Minor, Joseph Love, John Q. Weaver and his wife, Mary Weaver, demonstrated resilience and agency, actively participating in the Underground Railroad and leaving a legacy of courage and hope that continues to inspire future generations. The Network to Freedom program, created by Congress in 1998, highlights more than 800 places and programs and verifies that each one is a true story about the men, women and children who freed themselves or were helped by others to escape enslavement. The Network to Freedom program has listings in 41 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. For more information, visit

Elsbeth Murderers Pay Homage to Chicago's ‘Cell Block Tango' in Musical Finale Sneak Peek (Exclusive)
He had it coming! On this Thursday's Elsbeth season finale (CBS, 9/8c), the titular lawyer finds herself behind bars with some of the show's most memorable killers, who can't help breaking out into an iconic Chicago song in TVLine's exclusive sneak peek. More from TVLine ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement As you'll recall from last week's episode, Elsbeth was arrested for criminal harassment and learned that she was being transferred to the Midtown Detention Center that also houses several of the criminals she helped put away. Among the bevy of returning guest stars are Stephen Moyer (as theater director Alex Modarian), Retta (as elite matchmaker Margo Clarke), Gina Gershon (as plastic surgeon Dr. Vanessa Holmes), Elizabeth Lail (as tech CEO Quinn Powell), Arian Moayed (as cocktail bar owner Joe Dillon), André De Shields (as fashion designer Matteo Hart), Alyssa Milano (as former mafia princess Pupetta Del Ponte) and Mary-Louise Parker (as decluttering guru Freya Frostad). In the above video, several of those familiar faces pay homage to Chicago's infamous 'Cell Block Tango' musical number, including Alyssa Milano, who starred in the Broadway show. At first, Elsbeth watches Retta and her co-horts belt out the lyrics and move around her, before it's revealed just how the song and dance routine is taking place. Putting together such an ambitious finale, with its many guest stars and musical performance, 'was crazy,' showrunner Jonathan Tolins tells TVLine. 'Just finding out who was available and interested in coming back,' he explains, 'and getting the rights to the song from Chicago and writing a new version that could be approved, specifically, because they have to know every word before they'll give approval, it was a scramble.'
