Reuben Owen opens up on meeting new girlfriend ahead of series debut
Reuben Owen has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Jessica Ellwood ahead of the launch of his new Channel 5 series Reuben Owen, notable from Our Yorkshire Farm, has candidly shared details about his romance with girlfriend Jessica Ellwood as they gear up for his latest Channel 5 venture. The 21-year-old found fame on the family show Our Yorkshire Farm with his parents, Amanda and Clive Owen, alongside his eight siblings. Following appearances on Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, Reuben is set to grace TV screens again in the new series of Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales. This series will document Reuben's endeavours to establish his own enterprise with his friends' support. The upcoming second season will introduce viewers to Jessica, also 21, who will be joining her boyfriend on television for the first time. Jessica comes from a farming background similar to Reuben's, and it seems their common passion for agriculture has brought them closer together, reports Leeds Live. Speaking of their connection, Reuben revealed that their paths crossed at a Young Farmers' event, and they've been inseparable ever since. "Jess is so happy and chilled out," he expressed to the Telegraph. "We met at a Young Farmers' event, and it was the biggest stroke of luck. She's not bothered by the filming, either, which is great; the telly thing brings a bit of money into the pot, which is useful." Additionally, Reuben cannot help but laud Jessica's adeptness in agriculture, especially noting her knack for handling a digger like a pro. In an interview with the Mirror, the young farmer opened up about their bustling life amidst the pastoral setting. "Last weekend we were felling trees. In terms of our hobbies, I think digging," he remarked. "Jess is very good on the digger. She's better at driving a digger than I am milking cows." Despite his forays into television, Reuben has confessed that he has no aspirations for fame and avoids social media, choosing instead to concentrate on the farm and expanding his business. Reuben's home life is equally bustling. He is one of nine siblings, with parents Amanda and Clive, who parted ways in 2022 after two decades of marriage, also raising Raven, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy.
