According to a News24 report, the account in question originally belonged to Gayatri Devi, who passed away two months ago. Her 20-year-old son, Deepak, had been operating the account since her death. On the night of August 3, Deepak received a notification showing a credit of Rs 1.13 lakh crore (Rs 1,13,56,000 crore). Perplexed by the number of zeros, he shared the message with his friends to confirm what he was seeing.

Bank officials confirmed the massive figure but explained that the account had been frozen due to the suspicious nature of the deposit. Unable to cope with the sudden attention, he reportedly switched off his phone.
