After 35 years as a Post journalist, it's time for a change
An unexpected illness that resulted in my hospitalization, along with technical issues with my Post email account, prevented me from accessing my computer for the past several days. But it wasn't for naught. The Rev. Wilmore Carter of my childhood's Liberty Baptist Church often preached, 'Sometimes, a stumbling block can be a blessing in disguise.' The enforced respite from running my mouth and banging away at my keyboard forced me to reflect on the realities of my surrounding world.
