Big rewards await retailer's ‘election campaign' winners

IT IS not yet election time but shoppers can get a taste of voting through 'Kempen Pilihan Raya Mydin 2025'.
In the campaign, Mydin customers can pick their favourite brands and earn incentives.
Mydin managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin, who launched the campaign at Mydin Subang Jaya, said RM6.8mil worth of discounts, vouchers, and rewards await shoppers.
'The campaign is themed 'People's Choice, People's Price'.
'We have 57 brand partners participating in this 'election' campaign.
'The objective is for all these brands to compete to provide customers the best offer.'
Ameer Ali said the competition would benefit buyers especially in light of the rising prices of goods.
The brand 'election' campaign runs until Aug 31, while the voting process for favourite brands is from Sept 1 to 16.
'You get one vote for each item you buy at Mydin. Be a smart consumer and shop with us,' he said.
The campaign features two categories of competing brands – those vying for a 'parliament' seat and 'state seat' (DUN).

There are 26 'parliamentary seats' and 85 'state seats'.
Examples of 'parliament' seats are Parliament Biskut, Parliament Minyak Sejahtera and Parliament Tepung Malaysia, while 'state seats' include DUN Lampin, DUN Mentega and DUN Sardin.
Three key initiatives are being introduced as part of the campaign – Ganjaran Rakyat, Cashback Rakyat and Rezeki Rakyat.
Ganjaran Rakyat invites customer to vote via the Mydin Rewards App.
In this initiative, customers have a chance to receive over RM400,000 in vouchers and cashback from Sept 1 to 16.
The Cashback Rakyat initiative is for customers using e-wallets like Atome, Boost, MCash, SPayLater, Shopback, and Setel.
They can enjoy discounts and cashback up to RM300,000 at Mydin stores until Oct 5.
The Rezeki Rakyat initiative gives customers who vote for their preferred brands the chance to enjoy exclusive promotions and discounts worth up to RM1.68mil.
This includes brand contests and cash-out games through Mydin Pay.
