Lamborghini Temerario vs Ferrari 296 GTB: A supercar spec-sheet showdown

Both supercars, the Lamborghini Temerario and the Ferrari 296 GTB are powered by a hybrid engine. The all-new Lamborghini Temerario and Ferrari 296 GTB represent the latest high-performance hybrids from Italy, and both have been launched in India to eager buyers. Lamborghini introduced the mid-engine Temerario (twin-turbo V8 + hybrid) in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹ 6.00 crore (Delhi), while Ferrari brought the plug-in-hybrid 296 GTB (V6 + electric motor) to India in 2022 at ₹ 5.40 crore. Beyond prices, these two supercars differ markedly in design, powertrain and technology. Below is a comparison of their specs and features. Powertrain and Performance Lamborghini's Temerario features a new 4.0‑litre, twin‑turbo V8 that makes 789 bhp at 9,000–9,750 rpm. Additionally, it gets three electric motors, bringing the combined output to 907 bhp. The engine is Lamborghini's first turbocharged sports-car V8 with a revving capability of 10,000 rpm. Paired with AWD traction, it sprints from 0 to 100 kmph in about 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 340 kmph. Also Read : Lamborghini Urus gets a warrior makeover with Rezvani Knight armored super SUV In contrast, Ferrari's 296 GTB uses a 3.0‑litre, twin‑turbo V6 that alone makes 636 bhp mated to a rear-mounted electric motor making 164 bhp. The result is a combined output of 819 bhp and 740 Nm of torque. This RWD hybrid system launches the 296 GTB from 0 to 100 kmph in roughly 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 330 kmph. Notably, Ferrari's larger 7.42 kWh battery provides about 25 km of pure electric range, whereas the Temerario uses Lamborghini's existing smaller pack rated at about 3.8 kWh from the Revuelto for a brief electric assist. Design and Interior The Temerario pushes Lamborghini's design language forward. Its hexagonal LED daytime running lights recall trademark Lamborghini geometry, and the mid-mounted V8 is left partially exposed under a new aero spoiler. From the side, a large Gallardo-style side intake reappears and multiple vents channel air through the broad engine bay. Inside, Lamborghini promises a 'jet-inspired' cabin with more room. The Temerario's wheelbase is longer than the Huracán's, giving extra headroom and allowing new 'comfort' seats for enhanced everyday usability. The dashboard uses a fresh human‑machine interface (HMI) and digital displays for both driver and passenger. The interior colour scheme and materials can be extensively customised via Lamborghini's Ad Personam program. An optional 'Alleggerita' package further sharpens the car. It swaps in carbon wheels and aero parts to shave off about 25 kg and boost total downforce by 67 per cent. Also Read : Sales of Ferrari's first EV to start in October next year, says CEO Ferrari's 296 GTB features flowing bodywork inspired by classic models, like the 250 LM. It also gets advanced aerodynamics and a high-tech driver cockpit. Ferrari's design refreshes its GT lineage with prominent rear fenders and a Kamm-tail which invokes the 1963 250 LM, while sleek new headlights and an 'active' rear spoiler improve aerodynamics. The cockpit is high-tech but traditional at the same time. It houses digital displays (similar to the SF90 Stradale) and Ferrari's classic 'H‑gate' shaped gear selector. In India, the 296 GTB comes standard with luxury appointments like Alcantara-wrapped power seats along with contrast stitching, a suspension lift system, carbon-fibre trim, 20-inch forged wheels, a surround-view camera and titanium wheel bolts. Technology and Features Both supercars are rich with tech. The Temerario offers advanced electronics, besides the AWD hybrid powertrain, it gets ESC, torque vectoring and adaptive magnetic fluid dampers. There is a 'Telemetry 2.0' system that logs performance data, plus an integrated dashcam and even augmented-reality navigation in the infotainment. The result is a high-tech cockpit that is on par with Ferrari's. The 296 GTB's digital dash can record lap data but Lamborghini's AR overlay and driver analytics push the envelope further. The 296 GTB's hybrid system is managed by a multi-function 'eManettino" driving mode dial, offering eDrive (all-electric), Hybrid, Performance and Qualify (maximum output) modes. Its active aero and suspension work seamlessly with the hybrid drivetrain. Check out Upcoming Cars in India 2024, Best SUVs in India. First Published Date: 17 May 2025, 11:00 AM IST

Rezvani Knight Is Lamborghini Urus-Based Batmobile: Check Pictures

Rezvani, the boutique exotic carmaker, is well-known for creating cars inspired by fighter jets. Upholding its name, the brand has created another marvel called the Rezvani Knight based on the Lamborghini Urus. Giving it a militaristic styling, they are offering the option of giving it a bulletproof armor upgrade. Before this, we have seen Rezvani's work on the Jeep Wrangler which became the base for Tank and Cadillac Escalade, giving birth to Vengeance. Rezvani claims that the Knight, along with their other two SUVs, is aimed at reinventing "the boring SUV space." It comes with hard edges and a grey paint job. Adding to this, the SUV has a body with carbon fiber elements, with the basic shape of Urus, with an even more angular design. They have also added thin running lights with the headlights, and a light bar on the roof. The robust front bumper is complemented by a similarly bold hood, while a prominent wing is positioned above the rear window. The Knight is equipped with distinctive 22-inch wheels fitted with 33-inch all-terrain tires. Additional enhancements include a steel ram bumper, electrically charged door handles to deter unwanted intruders, magnetic deadbolts, a fortified suspension, and an intercom system. Rezvani features a range of bullet-resistant vests and helmets, along with gas masks, a first-aid kit, and a pepper spray dispenser. The company also claims that the package provides defense against electromagnetic pulses, as well as strobe lights, blinding lights, and sirens. Rezvani states that it can enhance the Lamborghini's twin-turbocharged V-8 engine to as much as 800 horsepower, based on the customer's preferences. This is a considerable increase compared to the 657 hp found in the non-hybrid Urus, even though the latest Urus SE plug-in hybrid is close behind at 789 horsepower. Rezvani asserts that the Knight can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds, a time that aligns with what we recorded in a 2023 Urus Performante.

Rezvani Knight: Lamborghini Urus turned up to 11 with optional armour kit

The new Rezvani Knight is an Italian bull dressed up in outrageous American armour. If you own a Lamborghini Urus and have at least US$149,000 (A$232,000) lying around, Rezvani will strip it down and dress it up in an all-new carbon-fibre suit that wouldn't look out of place in a Mad Max movie. Hundreds of new car deals are available through CarExpert right now. Get the experts on your side and score a great deal. Browse now. There are thin lighting strips at the front, a light bar on the roof, and a visor-like glasshouse that must be pretty hard to see out of. The Knight rides on 22-inch wheels with 33-inch all-terrain tyres. For the Knight, Rezvani will also retune the non-electrified 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 that powered the pre-facelift Urus to produce around 597kW. As a result, the company claims the Knight can complete the 0-60mph (0-97km/h) sprint as standard in 3.0 seconds. By way of comparison, the standard pre-facelift Urus made a 'mere' 478kW, and can hit 100km/h in a claimed 3.6 seconds, which already makes it one of the world's quickest SUVs. Should this ostentatious display of wealth have you fearing reprisals, there's an optional Dark Knight "military package", which includes bulletproof glass and body panels, underbody explosive protection, run-flat tyres, night vision, electrified door handles, ram bumpers, strobe and blinding lights, gas masks, and bulletproof vests and helmets. Like other Rezvani models, production of the Knight will be limited to 100 units. Based in Irvine on the southern outskirts of Greater Los Angeles, Rezvani was founded in 2013 by Ferris Rezvani and specialises in rebodying and toughening up vehicles for a very well heeled set of celebrities. The other models in the automaker's current range include the Vengeance (based on the Cadillac Escalade), Tank (Jeep Wrangler), Hercules 6×6 (Jeep Gladiator), and Beast (Chevrolet Corvette). The Rezvani Knight Is an Apocalypse-Ready Lamborghini Urus

The Knight is Rezvani's latest offering, applying the company's assertive and militaristic styling to the Lamborghini Urus. The Knight will cost $149,000 on top of the quarter-million-dollar price of an Urus, and Rezvani says it can boost the twin-turbo V-8 to 800 horsepower. The Dark Night package outfits the SUV for the end of the world with bulletproof armor and glass, run-flat tires, and a set of gas masks. Have you ever thought to yourself, "My Lamborghini Urus looks too tame and won't survive the zombie apocalypse that is definitely happening any day now?" If so, look no further, as California-based Rezvani Motors has revealed its latest reskinned vehicle, turning Lamborghini's SUV into the Rezvani Knight, with militaristic styling and an optional bulletproof armor upgrade. The Knight follows previous radical Rezvani creations like the Jeep Wrangler–based Tank and the Cadillac Escalade–based Vengeance. Rezvani Motors Rezvani says the Knight, alongside its two other SUVs, is aiming to "reinvent the boring SUV space," and its latest design certainly isn't boring to look at. With hard edges and a grey paint job, the Knight feels like something you might find in the Halo video game. Rezvani says the body is fashioned from carbon fiber, and while the general shape of the Urus remains, the details are even more angular. Up front, the headlights are now accompanied by a pair of thin running lights and a light bar on the roof. The beefy front bumper is matched by an equally aggressive hood, while a towering wing lives above the rear windshield. The Knight rides on unique 22-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch off-road tires. Rezvani says it can boost the Lamborghini's twin-turbocharged V-8 up to 800 horsepower, depending on what the customer desires. That's a significant amount more than the 657 hp found in the nonhybrid Urus, although the latest Urus SE plug-in hybrid isn't far off with 789 ponies. Rezvani claims the Knight will sprint from zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds, which matches the time we set in a 2023 Urus Performante. Rezvani Motors Rezvani's more paranoid customers will be relieved to learn that the Knight is offered with the Dark Night package. No, this upgrade doesn't turn you into a playboy billionaire who secretly fights crime under the cover of darkness. Instead, the Dark Night package brings bulletproof glass, body armor, a thermal night vision system, and run-flat tires. Other add-ons include a steel ram bumper, electrified door handles to zap anyone you don't want trying to get inside, magnetic deadbolts, a reinforced suspension, and an intercom system. Rezvani Motors Rezvani also throws in a set of bulletproof vests and helmets, as well as gas masks, a first-aid kit, and a pepper spray dispenser. The company also claims the package brings electromagnetic pulse protection, along with strobe lights, blinding lights, and sirens, although we question the legality of using those measures unless Armageddon has truly begun. Rezvani didn't say how adding all of this equipment will affect performance, but the extra weight should definitely add a couple of seconds to the zero-to-60-mph dash. Pricing for the Rezvani Knight starts at $149,000, not including the 2019-or-newer Lamborghini Urus that serves as a base. Customers can provide their own Urus or have Rezvani find one, and the company will also allow shoppers to create a bespoke leather interior. Rezvani says it will only build 100 examples of the Knight.
