Edmunds wins keirin silver for GB at Europeans
Rhian Edmunds won keirin silver on the final day of the European Track Cycling Championships to help Great Britain finish third in the medal table. Wales' Edmunds was pipped to gold by nine-thousandths of a second by Dutchwoman Steffie van der Peet in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. It was a third silver of the event for 21-year-old Edmunds and took Britain's overall medal tally to 11. That includes golds for Anna Morris and Josh Charlton in the women's and men's individual pursuit respectively, along with five silvers and four bronzes. Fellow Briton Lauren Bell finished sixth in the keirin, with Will Perrett and Matt Walls fifth in the men's madison and Neah Evans and Maddie Leech sixth in the women's on Sunday.

GB win team sprint medals at European Championships
Great Britain's women won silver in the team sprint on day one of the European Track Cycling Championships as the men's team took trio of Lauren Bell, Rhian Edmunds and Rhianna Parris-Smith finished in 46.929 seconds to take second place in the event for a third consecutive year and win Britain's first medal of the 2025 Dutch team took the top podium spot in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium, winning the gold medal race in 46.322 was part of the women's sprint team who won silver in 2023, but Edmunds and Parris-Smith were making their elite men's sprint team of Harry Ledingham-Horn, Hayden Norris and Harry Radford took bronze ahead of the Czech trio, finishing in 43.152 secs, while France won gold and the Netherlands took silver on the first of the five-day Anna Morris finished fifth in the women's scratch race, while William Perrett finished eighth in the men's elimination the men's and women's team pursuit squads qualified for their respective first-round races on Thursday.
