Actor Sonam Kapoor rang in her 40th birthday on June 8, Saturday night. It was a star-studded night as many of her friends and family members turned up for the bash at her house in Mumbai. Several celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Karisma Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor, among others, attended to give their best wishes to the birthday girl.
Pictures and videos of numerous guests arriving were shared by the paparazzi on social media. In addition, many people also posted videos of Sonam cutting the cake, which were reshared by the actor on her Instagram Stories. In the other pictures, she can be seen posing happily with a glass of wine, in her chic black outfit. She also posed for an adorable selfie with her husband Anand Ahuja.
In one of the videos, Janhvi can be seen arriving early and heading towards Sonam's house without pausing to pose for the paps. Wearing a blue dress, the actor just waved at them. Her sister Khushi was seen in a black monochrome dress, with a matching handbag. She was spotted having a conversation with her rumoured boyfriend Vedang Raina.

Kareena, Saif, and Karisma were snapped arriving together at the bash. While Saif chose to carry his classic all-white look, Kareena looked stunning in a beautiful yellow dress. She also waved at the paparazzi before quickly heading inside the house. Many other celebrities such as Masaba Gupta, Akshay Marwah, Swara Bhaskar, Rhea Kapoor, Karan Boolani, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor also attended Sonam Kapoor's birthday party.

On the professional front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen on-screen in the film Blind in 2023. After the birth of their son Vayu with husband Anand in 2022, she took a break from acting. However, her sister Her sister Rhea Kapoor earlier dropped a hint that the actor might make a comeback with the sequel of Veere Di Wedding, which also featured Kareena, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
