AAC captain Warren Gibson said 315 athletes participated in eight races. There had been concerns that the weather might be unfavourable on race day, as it had been raining and cold the previous day.
'The weather played its part, and it didn't rain. Coach Riaan Vosloo and Tronel Nel put together an awesome route for the runners, fast and flat with some soft sand in places. The route was a real tester,' said Gibson.
