Charlottetown police charge man with 6 new offences related to vehicle theft

Charlottetown Police Services charged Richard Joseph Leclair with six new offences following his arrest on July 9.
The new charges were added to nine charges laid earlier in the month, said a news release.
The new charges include:
flight from police
dangerous driving
possession of a stolen vehicle
The nine previous charges include:
Taking a vehicle without consent
Theft under $5,000
Possession of a stolen vehicle – two counts
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
Flight from police
Prohibited driving – three counts
Breach of probation – six counts
Leclair was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 17.
