Deputies respond to fatal rollover crash on Peach Orchard Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division responded to the scene of a deadly vehicle crash on the 3100 Block of Peach Orchard Road Friday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over. He was taken to the Wellstar MCG by EMS where he was pronounced dead at 10:13 a.m., according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.
Those traveling in this area are asked to use alternate routes while the investigation is being conducted.
