CBD Punjab launches ‘Route 47' smart road
LAHORE: Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) became the epicentre of Independence Day celebrations in Lahore, as the newly inaugurated state-of-the-art CBD Route 47 took centre stage in commemorating Pakistan's 78th Independence Day. Named after the historic year of Pakistan's independence and inspired by the vision of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, CBD Route 47 holds special significance. This landmark road has been developed at the very site where Quaid-e-Azam first landed after partition, serving as a tribute to his leadership and unwavering commitment to a progressive Pakistan. The celebrations transformed CBD Route 47 and Kalma Underpass into vibrant displays of patriotism, with spectacular illuminations, a symbolic flag march and exhilarating bike rallies. The festivities commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony at CBD Punjab Complex, led by CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin and COO CBD Punjab Brigadier Mansoor Janjua (Retd). The event was followed by the 'CBD Punjab Ride for Unity,' a bicycle rally that brought together citizens from all walks of life to send a resounding message of national unity and solidarity. The patriotic spirit soared further as representatives from key government departments and authorities, including Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority (PERA), Rescue 1122, City Traffic Police, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and bikers from various clubs across Lahore, gathered at CBD Route 47 for a flag march. Prior to the march, Assistant Commissioner Model Town Abdul Basit Siddiqui, Deputy Director Marketing CBD Punjab Usman Nadeem, and SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ahmed conducted a ceremonial flag hoisting. Speaking at the occasion, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin said, 'CBD Route 47 is not only Lahore's newest landmark but also a symbol of progress, connectivity, and national pride. In line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, we are committed to building a Pakistan where development, prosperity, and opportunity are within everyone's reach. CBD Punjab all set to celebrate 78th Independence Day with zeal
LAHORE: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as the Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is set to celebrate Pakistan's 78th Independence Day with unmatched patriotic fervor. This year's celebrations will be held under the theme 'Marqa-e-Haq' in line with CBD Punjab's annual slogan, 'Raho Sar Buland,' which inspires pride and unwavering commitment to the nation's progress. The festivities reflect CBD Punjab's pledge that there will be no compromise on the sovereignty and development of Pakistan, and every effort will be made for the defence of the motherland. The celebration plan demonstrates the authority's dedication to fostering national pride and unity among citizens. In preparation for this national occasion, CBD Punjab has adorned the city's key landmarks in the vibrant green and white colours of independence. The Kalma Underpass and CBD Route 47 have been illuminated to create a spectacular visual display, embodying the true spirit of freedom. Female biker takes a journey from Nigeria to South Africa
LAGOS, NIGERIA - Solo female biker, Omolewa Adesuyi also known as Mama Spade has boldly challenged societal norms with her Ride for Unity through Africa. With her courageous journey, she hopes to empower women on the continent, and around the world, to pursue their dreams. And to foster Pan-Africanism. Adesuyi's journey began from Nigeria to South Africa. She has built a significant online following and the 'Ride for African Unity' which is one of her most ambitious projects. She took up this solo motorcycle journey spanning approximately 7,000 kilometers and took her across seven African countries. Mama Spade's journey went through Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, Angola, Namibia and South Africa with the aim of promoting unity, collaboration and gender-focused inclusivity across Africa. ENCA managed to get an interview with Adesuyi after she finished her journey. She explained the importance of this trip and whether she maintained to achieve most, if not all the goals she had set for herself.
