20 spring decor finds under $50 on Amazon, recommended by designers
After you've tackled your spring cleaning to-do list, there's no better way to fully embrace the season of change than with a few new home decor pieces to liven up your spick and span space.
While there's no rule that you have to switch up your home decor at all when spring comes, Brady Tolbert, creative director at Bobby Berk, appreciates the opportunity to declutter, make more functional changes and welcome in a season of renewal. 'Just as holiday decor can get us in a holiday spirit and completely change our frame of mind, the same can happen when we clear that all out and give ourselves a fresh start to the season,' Tolbert says. 'And you don't have to do a complete overhaul, but even small swaps — like fresh flowers, a patterned or colored throw blanket or a new candle — can make a space feel totally different.'
To provide some seasonal inspiration, we asked interior design experts for their favorite spring decor finds under $50 on Amazon, plus tips for finding the most functional and best-looking pieces on a budget.
Ridhi Basil Cotton Canvas Throw Pillow Covers
'Nothing feels more like spring than florals, and this pair is an easy way to make your living room feel ready for spring,' Tolbert says. He also recommends grabbing another complementary pattern in a smaller size from the same brand to create an entirely new setup for your living room. 'My tip is to use a small-scale pattern on the larger pillow and a large-scale pattern on the smaller accent pillow,' Tolbert says.
Simple & Opulence Cotton Muslin Throw Blanket
In addition to swapping out her winter candle centerpieces for a vase of fresh spring blooms, Alexandra Gater, home decor expert and author of "Own Your Space," also likes to replace her thick bed quilt with a light throw. Adding a new throw blanket to your couch or draping one over a chair is an easy and functional way to jazz up a space. Gater likes this 100% cotton muslin throw that comes in nine colors, all of which are great for spring.
Bedding Craft Natural Linen Curtains, Set of 2
A new set of curtains for your bedroom, living room or office can be as transformative as a fresh coat of paint. Made from a breezy linen and cotton blend that goes with just about anything, these versatile curtains will also help diffuse light from the spring sun across your space.
Creative Co-Op Terracotta Floral Vase
We know, florals for spring aren't exactly groundbreaking, but they're a classic for a reason. This terracotta vase is printed with a blue floral design that will look right at home among cozy cottagecore items, coastal beachy accents or even general minimalist decor.
Saro Lifestyle Wool Throw Pillow
'As an interior designer who cherishes the beauty of nature, I find these cushion covers to be a perfect addition for spring,' Dina Marciano, founder of Dina Marciano Design, says. 'The natural texture adds warmth and coziness, while the color brightens the space, making it feel more cheerful and alive.'
Awellife Beige Linen Shower Curtain
Don't forget about your bathroom when it comes to making seasonal swaps. A new shower curtain, bath mat, tray or candle can help revive the space. This floral shower curtain is a great choice for spring. Made of linen and available in an array of colorful patterns, it will give new life to your main and guest bathrooms alike.
Cozy Mom Deco Chair Pad Slipcover
For fans of a ruffle and a showstopping bow detail, Gater likes this dainty pillow chair cover. It's an easy way to refresh your office, dining room or other seating chairs for the warmer seasons.
Koville African Natural Marble Tray
Spruce up your bathroom counter, entryway or living room table with this natural Namibian marble tray. It's as functional as it is beautiful, adding a subtle pop of color and texture that will help keep jewelry, candles and small items organized.
Fingercraft Cloth Napkins, Set of 6
Tolbert says these scalloped napkins, which come in a handful of spring-forward colors, are a playful and easy addition to your tablescape that won't break the bank.
Decrafts Round Rattan Serving Tray
Craft a new centerpiece for your living or dining room table with this rattan serving tray. Available in a natural or whitewash finish, this tray is also handy for whisking other small decor pieces — like books, candles and vases — away in a flash if you need to clear your table off for family activities or standard cleanings.
Carrot's Den Nordic Minimalist White Ceramic Vases, Set of 6
'This elegant set of vases is perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to your home,' Marciano says. 'Their minimalist design complements any space, creating a serene and harmonious environment.' Fill them with dried flowers or fresh stems, or even leave them empty for a simpler vibe.
Homtik Wood Rainbow Decorative Arches, Set of 2
Decorate your mantel, bookshelf or bedside table with these versatile beechwood arches. Pair them with some pastel spring candles, a textured tray or some cherished photos to create an eye-catching display that's packed with dimension.
Kamang Artificial Poppy Silk Flower
'Florals are always a go-to for me, whether it's a simple vase with a few branches clipped from your backyard or a bouquet of tulips from the store,' Tolbert says. 'While I will always opt for real flowers or branches, these are a really good alternative.'
Dpofirs Rattan Pleated Lamp
Gater loves the textured touch that this beechwood base table lamp gives to a space, adding that since it's a natural shade, you can keep it out all year round.
Fexia Boho Table Runner
If the kitchen table is a focal point in your home, consider sprucing it up with a new table runner or place settings. This macrame table runner is made of linen and burlap, perfect for a boho spring vibe.
Ycoll Farmhouse Pillow Covers, Set of 2
Tolbert says that pillows and throws are by far the easiest swap to make and can instantly give a new look to your place. 'My tip is to get inserts that you like and then just swap the pillow covers from season to season so that you aren't buying an entirely new pillow,' Tolbert says. 'This also helps if you are tight on storage and don't have room for a lot of extra items, since a pillow cover can easily be folded up and stored anywhere.'
Arctic Wicks Lavender Candle
Creating a refreshing atmosphere for spring can be about more than just swapping textiles. Marciano likes this Arctic Wicks candle for adding a touch of calm to your space. 'The soothing aroma of lavender fills your home, transforming it into a fresh spring sanctuary,' Marciano says.
Kook Utensil Holder
Sometimes all a space needs is a pop of color to help it feel exciting again. This glossy utensil holder comes in vivid orange and soft pink colors, both of which are perfect for adding a bright touch to your kitchen counter or serving arrangements.
Fly Joe Natural Oak Picture Frame
Sentimental photos make great personalized home decor. These natural oak picture frames will let you keep your favorite photos up all year while still nailing the easy, breezy spring aesthetic.
Martha Stewart Dual-Purpose Kitchen Towel, 2-Pack
Prefer functional decor? A new set of kitchen towels can instantly make your workspace look more polished and lively. Go for bright, bold spring colors or opt to keep things more subtle with these lightly checked towels made from 100% cotton. Our experts agree that the spring season is all about ushering in an era of new beginnings. 'When I think of spring decor, I envision items that capture the essence of renewal and freshness,' Marciano says. 'I gravitate towards soft, earthy tones like sage green, muted blues and warm neutrals.'
Marciano also likes to use natural materials when decorating for spring — things like bamboo, rattan, jute and cotton that help create a cozy but airy feel. Of course, spring is also the perfect time to introduce more floral and botanical elements into your home. 'Seasonal decor changes are a wonderful way to align your living space with the rhythms of nature,' Marciano says. 'It infuses the home with a sense of renewal and vitality, reflecting the growth and freshness of spring.'
Gater says she typically stays away from buying the newest trendy decor each season to prevent being left with something that feels outdated the next year. 'For me, this usually means investing in more natural colors and patterns that I can layer under trendy pieces — if I'm inclined to purchase those — so I don't have to buy all new decor,' Gater says.
If you're shopping for decor on a budget, or on websites like Amazon where it can be hard to tell exactly how an item might look in your space, Tolbert recommends leaning into textured and natural materials for a more raw feel. 'Linen, rattan, marble and wood always look more expensive than plastic or synthetic fabrics,' Tolbert says. 'Anything too shiny or glossy can look cheap, so I opt for matte ceramics, stone or brushed metals that feel more luxe.'
