Summit ‘Pathway 25' on August 25
High school students in Oman are invited to 'Pathway 25', a focused half-day career guidance summit scheduled for August 25, designed to help them make informed academic and career decisions. Organised by educational psychologist Massrat Shaikh, the summit addresses the growing need for structured career planning among youth, especially those who often rely solely on parental influence without understanding their personal strengths or interests. The event will open with a career interest and aptitude evaluation using a standardised Pearson assessment, followed by a detailed talk on future skills needed for a changing global workforce. Students will then attend a session by Zainul Dhalla, Director of Product & New Ventures at Rihal and a Cambridge graduate, who will speak on preparing for top-tier universities. The final talk, delivered by Kate Clarke, Managing Director of Al Ahlam Higher Education Services with over 25 years of experience in Oman, will guide students through the UK and Ireland higher education systems, including the UCAS process and student life abroad. After the event, students and their parents will be offered a one-on-one session to discuss their personalised career assessment results and build a clear academic road map. 'This summit aims to equip students with the clarity, tools and confidence they need to pursue careers aligned with their potential,' said Massrat. Registration is now open for interested students and families.
