Video doorbells can be a real boon for everyone, particularly when Brits wish to monitor their home or anticipate an important parcel delivery.
However, they can sometimes be pricey. The good news is that Ring has reduced the price of its latest doorbell just in time for payday - now only £59.99, down from £99.99.
This is Ring's latest doorbell, and it's incredibly easy to set up, taking just five minutes. Thanks to Ring Home, users can also store clips and videos on the cloud.

It features 1440x1440 video quality to provide shoppers with a clearer view of what's happening at their front door, even in low light. A head-to-toe view allows users to see more of people and packages.
If shoppers are concerned about their neighbours' privacy, they can block out areas of the view from the doorbell. With Privacy Zones activated, the device will no longer display or record anything within those areas, reports the Express.
If a video doorbell has been on the mind for a while, there are alternatives. Eufy has a chime and video doorbell combo on Argos for around £100 with a discount code. Google also has its own doorbell for £179 if shoppers want to go all out.
I also reviewed the Ring doorbell back in 2024, and I was super impressed with its performance and ease of setup.
Keep up to date with what's going on at your front door with this Ring doorbell from Amazon.

Compared to my current Ring Video Doorbell Pro, the setup process for this new model is much simpler and quicker, with fewer components involved. The package includes a new push-pin that's easy to install, and the doorbell itself clips securely into the bracket, so there's no need to worry about it becoming loose.
Ring has also introduced a new push-pin tool that comes in a box, which allows users to detach the doorbell from the bracket. The quick-release battery, usually included with the doorbell, is built into the device, allowing them to charge the entire unit as one, without the need to fiddle with a screw, as I've had to do (on numerous occasions) with my Ring Video Doorbell Pro.

The image and video quality on the Ring is 1440p x 1440p, just slightly less than the 1536p HD video on the Pro version, but the difference is hardly noticeable when you compare them side by side.
The video quality is sharp, rivalling some of the best video doorbells available on the market. However, Ring places many features behind a monthly paywall, including previews on the mobile app and round-the-clock recording. This could deter many customers, and we can't fault potential buyers for wanting to overlook it.
