Tuttle did a version of the Ringo-sung Beatles classic 'Octopus's Garden,' while Browne performed 'Act Naturally,' the Buck Owens song that Ringo famously covered with the Beatles, according to a Facebook post by retired Los Angeles Times music journalist Randy Lewis. There was also an impromptu version of 'With a Little Help From My Friends,' as well as a version of the Beatles' 'Birthday,' sung in Ringo's honor. At the song's conclusion, Ringo held up his phone and proclaimed, 'Paul said it sounded great!' Lewis revealed in his post. Among the other celebs at the big event were Ringo's wife, actress Barbara Bach, Eagles guitarist, solo artist and Ringo's brother-in-law Joe Walsh, Doors drummer John Densmore, former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum, guitarist Davey Johnstone, former Saturday Night Live cast member and drummer Fred Armisen, actor Ed Begley Jr., All-Starr Band and Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren, songwriter-producer Linda Perry, Breakfast With the Beatles radio host Chris Carter and many others. Ringo addressed the crowd in footage posted on Instagram by music journalist . 'I couldn't have dreamed I would end up here,' Starr said. 'I did end up in a good band, though. When you come to America, for us being British, it was like such a goal because all of the songs and the singers we loved came from America. We were there in New York and you go through, 'Maybe I should live in New York.' And then you come to California, 'Maybe California.' Next time, 'Definitely California!' I love it here. I love the people I love the attitude and the peace and love that's shown in this state is incredible, and all the other states are trying.' Eagles camp opens with a wake-up call for Kelee Ringo

Day 1 of Eagles training camp practice was a rough one for veteran DB Kelee Ringo. Since March, it has been billed as one of the top training camp battles to monitor during the Philadelphia Eagles' summer. Who will win the starting cornerback job across the formation from Quinyon Mitchell? Darius Slay is gone. So is Isaiah Rodgers and Avonte Maddox. That makes guys like Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown the elder statesmen. Mitchell impressed as a rookie. He and Cooper DeJean were finalists for the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. They'll both start. DeJean will handle slot duty, which begs the question. Who will handle starting duties at the other outside position? The front-runners are Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo. Jackson comes to Philadelphia after a four-year run with the rival New York Giants. The latter enters year three, hoping to finally crack the Eagles' starting lineup. Day 1 of Eagles camp offers some early adversity for Kelee Ringo It's okay to be a tad rusty when training camp begins. Heck, those are the types of kinks that camp is supposed to work out, but everyone wants to put their best foot forward. Unfortunately, most of the Kelee Ringo mentions have come for negative reasons. Cayden Steele offered a detailed explanation of some tough sledding at practice. Here's what was provided on the topic of conversation. "Toward the end of the Eagles' first training camp practice on Wednesday, cornerback Kelee Ringo expressed his frustration by smacking his hands together. He was in good position on wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. near the left sideline, but he couldn't knock it away from Marshall's hands and gave up his third big catch of the day." While it's great to hear that Terrace Marshall has put on a show, someone has to be on the other end of those highlight-reel moments. Unfortunately for Mr. Ringo, he provided a couple of the assists. "During the team's first seven-on-seven session, Marshall ran past Ringo down the right sideline and snagged quarterback Tanner McKee's accurate deep ball for a touchdown, the first play Ringo allowed. On the second big catch, Ringo had tight coverage on A.J. Brown, but he lost the rep when quarterback Jalen Hurts placed the back-shoulder ball out of his reach. Nine-year veteran Adoree' Jackson subbing in for Ringo afterwards was notable, and it will be interesting to see who starts tomorrow." Losing on a rep to A.J. Brown is hardly a cause for concern. It has happened to many of the game's greats. It is, however, interesting that we're discussing lost reps vs. Terrace Marshall, who, at best, will be the fourth or fifth wide receiver on Philly's depth chart... and that's if he's fortunate enough to win a roster spot. All of this is hardly cause for concern. Again, it's day one of camp. The expectation is that Ringo will settle in. As Steele puts it, he was never "egregiously beaten on his three losses". This allows him to fine-tune some things and sharpen his skills. This is the best shot he has had at winning a starter's role since his arrival, and no one expects a tough start to make him crumble under some adversity.

President Cyril Ramaphosa's response to Mkhwanazi falls flat as fatigue for commission of inquiry creeps in

Singer and retired politician Ringo Madlingozi said 'Cyril must go and burn with his judiciary commission". It was probably the most anticipated presidential address since the updates on the Covid-19 pandemic, which became widely known as the 'family meeting'. However, President Cyril Ramaphosa's response to KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's shocking allegations against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, among others, has left many disappointed. 'Cyril must go and burn with his judiciary commission,' singer and retired politician Ringo Madlingozi said, speaking on X (former Twitter) after Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Sunday evening. 'It's a waste of time while SA will be burning, and the corrupt and dangerous individuals will be ruining our country to the core.' Among his announcements on Sunday, Ramaphosa said Mchunu has been placed on a leave of absence. This comes after allegations that the minister interfered in police investigations and has an improper relationship with police service provider Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala. ALSO READ: Ringo Madlingozi: From being hands on in politics to now reflecting on it [VIDEO] 'President doesn't give a hoot about South Africans' 'It took Cyril Ramaphosa the whole damn week to respond with nothing while SA is burning,' Ringo said in another tweet. 'Why must we keep quiet! Why must we oblige to such nonsense? This guy, called [the] SA president [does not] give a hoot about South Africans. He doesn't feel the pain of thuggery and corruption. He seems to be enjoying seeing us tortured. Cyril Ramaphosa must be pushed out with his organisation,' he said. The Citizen spoke with Ringo to expand on his comments on social media, and he said he preferred not to comment. 'Unfortunately, I'm not willing to answer questions about my X input,' the singer told this publication on Monday morning. In a shock move in 2019, the Sondela Sthandwa singer became a member of parliament (MP) of the EFF, cementing his commitment to politics. After the conclusion of the general election in 2024, Ringo announced that he's stepping away from politics, but will remain an Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) member. Ringo said his time in politics has given him a better understanding of the decisions taken by those in power. 'For me to be part of the deciders and constructors of the laws of the country, I learnt a lot [about] how things are going. I'm really going to put that up in the music that I'm doing,' Ringo told The Citizen in 2024. ALSO READ: 'South Africa needs brave men like Mkhwanazi,' says Moja Love TV boss' foundation Commission of inquiry fatigue Ramaphosa announced on Sunday that he will establish a commission of inquiry to investigate the infiltration of law enforcement agencies by criminal elements. 'The minister has undertaken to give his full cooperation to the commission to enable it to do its work,' said Ramaphosa. Other public figures weren't impressed with the president's response to Mkhwanazi's allegations. Political and social commentator Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh described Ramaphosa's government as one 'of commissions, dialogues, and delay tactics'. 'Commission of Enquiry!!! Meaning another telenovela!!!' expressed sports broadcaster Robert Marawa. NOW READ: Miss SA Mia Le Roux joins National Dialogue to 'ensure credibility'

Featured pricing is subject to change. Ringo won't be the only Beatle on the road this year. Paul McCartney just announced he's embarking on a North American 'Got Back Tour' at stadiums, arenas and amphitheaters from September through November this year. Late in the 19-concert run, the 83-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will make his sole New York stop when he drops into Buffalo's Keybank Center on Friday, Nov. 14. Advertisement These shows mark Macca's first full North American jaunt since the first leg of the 'Got Back Tour' in 2022. On that outing, the spry octogenarian closed the tour with a gig at East Rutherford, NJ's MetLife Stadium. Ahead of that show, he played a 13-song VIP soundcheck and then, when he hit the stage that night, went all out and dropped a 40-song, career-spanning, three-hour set. Based on our findings at Set List FM, that included timeless Fab Four favorites like 'Can't Buy Me Love,' 'Get Back' (of course), 'Blackbird,' 'Hey Jude' and the spine-tingling 'Abbey Road Suite'…with Bruce Springsteen. We're getting chills just thinking about it all over again. There were also Wings hits, solo cuts and even a Quarrymen number. He really went all out. Heck, even Bon Jovi showed up to sing him 'Happy Birthday' since he turned 80 that evening. More recently, Sir Paul returned to NYC and headlined a handful of intimate gigs at the Bowery Ballroom ahead of his rousing 'SNL50' set. Advertisement 'Before performing 'Let Me Roll It,' McCartney said to the crowd, 'I can't quite believe we're here, doing this. But we are here, doing this,' according to The Post. Will this be the final tour for the legendary Beatle? While we can't say for certain, we do know that if seeing Paul live is on your bucket list, you ought to see him sooner rather than later. The voice and chops are still there but might not be forever. Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Paul McCartney shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official pre-sale for the latest iteration of the 'Got Back Tour' begins Tuesday, July 15. Advertisement Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand. They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event. Ringo Starr tour schedule 2025 Advertisement Starr has been touring all year long with his All Starr Band. The Post just caught him live at Radio City and raved their 'Ringo expectations [were] officially met and exceeded.' If you'd like to see him live, here's where he'll be later this year. Paul McCartney set list As we mentioned above, McCartney went way above and beyond the call of duty at his 2022 MetLife 'Got Back' concert. According to Set List FM, here's what made the cut that evening: 01.) 'Can't Buy Me Love' (The Beatles song) 02.) 'Junior's Farm' (Wings song) 03.) 'Letting Go' (Wings song) 04.) 'Got to Get You Into My Life' (The Beatles song) 05.) 'Come On to Me' 06.) 'Let Me Roll It' (Wings song) 07.) 'Getting Better' (The Beatles song) 08.) 'Let 'Em In' (Wings song) 09.) 'My Valentine' 10.) 'Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five' (Wings song) 11.) 'Maybe I'm Amazed' 12.) 'I've Just Seen a Face' (The Beatles song) 13.) 'In Spite of All the Danger' (The Quarrymen song) 14.) 'Love Me Do' (The Beatles song) 15.) 'Dance Tonight' 16.) 'Blackbird' (The Beatles song) 17.) 'Here Today' 18.) 'New' 19.) 'Lady Madonna' (The Beatles song) 20.) 'Fuh You' 21.) 'Jet' (Wings song) 22.) 'Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!' (The Beatles song) 23.) 'Something' (The Beatles song) 24.) 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da' (The Beatles song) 25.) 'You Never Give Me Your Money' (The Beatles song) 26.) 'She Came in Through the Bathroom Window' (The Beatles song) 27.) 'Get Back' (The Beatles song) 28.) 'Band on the Run' (Wings song) 29.) 'Glory Days' (Bruce Springsteen cover) (with Bruce Springsteen) 30.) 'I Wanna Be Your Man' (The Beatles song) (with Bruce Springsteen) 31.) 'Let It Be' (The Beatles song) 32.) 'Live and Let Die' (Wings song) 33.) 'Hey Jude' (The Beatles song) Encore 34.) 'I've Got a Feeling' (The Beatles song) 35.) 'Happy Birthday to You' (Mildred J. Hill & Patty Hill cover) (with Jon Bon Jovi) 36.) 'Birthday' (The Beatles song) 37.) 'Helter Skelter' (The Beatles song) 38.) 'Golden Slumbers' (The Beatles song) 39.) 'Carry That Weight' (The Beatles song) 40.) 'The End' (The Beatles song) (with Bruce Springsteen) Paul McCartney new music On May 16, McCartney and Barbra Streisand released their yearning duet 'My Valentine.' The romantic song is fairly straightforward for Macca who typically tends to embrace unique sounds even when he releases Christmas music; therefore, the heartfelt standard, which he originally released in 2012 with a bit more verve on the cover-heavy jazz record 'Kisses on the Bottom,' is an oddity — a star-studded one but an oddity all the same — and must be heard to be believed. Cat Reenacting ‘Titanic' Ending Has Us in Stitches

Cat Reenacting 'Titanic' Ending Has Us in Stitches originally appeared on PetHelpful. Cats, without a doubt, have some of the most particular personalities of any living creature. They like their space and are very particular about what it is that they will and will not allow. Unsurprisingly, our feline companions also have a flair for the dramatic. Perhaps that is why it is not so surprising to see a cat reenacting the iconic ending of Titanic in a bathtub. People can debate all they want if there is enough room on this life raft, but this cat makes it clear that when it comes to them and their human dad, there is only enough room for one of them. This video's caption states: 'If my cat and I were on the Titanic.' As you can see, this little feline is snug inside their little life raft, floating around in the tub. All of a sudden, a desperate hand reaches up out of the water, asking for help. The hand slowly moves towards the cat's raft and tries to come aboard. Is there room for two?It does appear that this cat could slide over a little bit, and that both of them could fit. However, that is not an idea that this feline is willing to entertain. They promptly swat the hand away with their paw, unwilling to share their space. This hand tries several more times to board the cat's raft, but gets shut down, with the cat slapping it away with their paw, every single time. It turns out that this cat, who goes by the name of Ringo, really 'loves' his personal space. And as this other video shows, Ringo's need to protect his personal space extends beyond his dad's hand trying to grab a spot on his tub raft. You see, Ringo also has a feline sibling, a gorgeous cat named Mango, who 'also loves Ringo's personal space.' However, when Mango tries to enjoy that personal space with him, Ringo has zero qualms about giving Mango the paw as well. We think it's safe to say that sharing simply isn't in the cards for Ringo, LOL. But who knows, maybe if Ringo's dad and his feline sibling keep on trying to instill the notion that sharing is caring into him, one day he will become more generous. Or maybe Ringo will just get so much practice at slapping everyone away with his paws that he will become a righteous paw-fu master! Looking for more PetHelpful updates?
