"The Party will look into the allegations. We will check the gravity of the allegations. If it is very serious, we will take necessary action. She said that she got to know through Youth Congress workers that he had badmouthed her, and that she had initiated the conversation. These charges came shortly after Actress and model Rini Ann George accused the Congress MLA of sending her offensive messages on multiple occasions and inviting her to a hotel. George stated that when she threatened to inform his party, the leader challenged her to do so. She did not disclose the leader's name or party. George claimed she had informed the party leadership about the incident, alleging that wives and daughters of several politicians had faced similar experiences with the leader. She questioned, "I want to ask which woman these politicians who were unable to protect the women in their family will protect?". She further alleged that despite her complaint, the leader continued to receive opportunities within the party. George said she decided to speak out after seeing similar allegations by other women on social media, many of whom remained silent. "I decided to speak as I saw recently on social media that many women have faced similar issues. None of these women are speaking a word about it. So I thought of speaking for all," she added. At present, actress and model Rini Ann George has not submitted any complaints regarding this matter. Earlier on Wednesday, following the allegations, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest march to the office of Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil, demanding his resignation.

His inappropriate behaviour began three years ago, when I first received objectionable messages from him. When I threatened to expose him, he said, you go tell anyone…who cares?' The actor also alleged that several other women have faced such harassment from him. 'I have not suffered any assault, but I have received such messages. He once said let's book a room in a five-star hotel, you should come. When I reacted strongly, there was no trouble for a while. But later, he began messaging me again,' she claimed. Not filing police complaint and speaking up now Rini also claims that she complained against him to senior members of his party, but instead of disciplinary action, he was given a prominent position. The actor, however, has not yet filed a police complaint against the politician. 'If I file a complaint, I will put myself in danger. That will be the only result. I urge women in the country to elect public representatives wisely,' she said. She also claimed she did not wish to 'embarrass' the political party involved. The actor also stated that she is only speaking up now because she realised more women have faced such harassment from the politician. 'Through my friends, I have learnt that several other women have faced harassment. I am speaking up for them.' Demanding the party to take action against the leader, the actor said, 'The party should take action against him as there are complaints coming against this person. There are complaints from within the organisation." 'It's being said that the wives and daughters of the leaders of the party have had bad experiences with him," she told reporters. 'I want to ask which woman these politicians will protect when they could not protect the women in their own families. It's the women that's electing people like him to power, seeing reels and all," the actor alleged. The writer said she had stopped responding to him and later learnt through Youth Congress workers that he had badmouthed her. Rahul Mankoottathil currently serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Palakkad constituency and holds the position of President of the State Youth Congress.
