‘Running With the Wolves' Review: Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on ESPN
Regular viewers of 'Live With Kelly and Mark,' the highly rated, nationally syndicated morning talk show on ABC television, are regularly updated on new movies, trendy recipes and the stats on Campobasso FC, a third-tier Italian soccer club based in the largely overlooked region of Molise. Why? Because co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are part owners. Are foreign sports teams the new celebrity accessory? Our hosts are in on that joke: The first thing that pops up in their ESPN series 'Running With the Wolves' is an interview last year with Ryan Reynolds, whose 'Welcome to Wrexham' has chronicled his own purchase, with actor Rob McElhenney, of a storied Welsh football team. 'Wolves,' also the nickname of the Campobasso players, is a different kind of show than 'Wrexham,' beginning with the fact that Ms. Ripa and Mr. Consuelos are married, and Messrs. Reynolds and McElhenney are not. The chemical equations are different. And the running gag is that Ms. Ripa apparently thought buying a troubled calcio squad was all about Mr. Consuelos scratching a sports itch and would be the gateway to him buying her a villa in Italy. As of episode 4 of this four-part season (there will be more), no real estate has been acquired. But there's enough stress to fill St. Peter's Basilica.

Kelly Ripa reveals Mark Consuelos' ‘repulsive' morning habit
Kelly Ripa has hope and faith that Mark Consuelos won't ask for this in the morning. The talk show host, 54, revealed that she finds the 54-year-old 'Riverdale' actor's preference for morning sex 'disgusting.' 'Men are morning people. He hasn't learned, he'll never learn,' Ripa said on Wednesday's episode of the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. 'He wants to kiss. And I have a retainer in. And he's got his nasal strips on. It's like we are the most repulsive, disgusting. I'm already pre-disgusted for tomorrow morning.' 11 Kelly Ripa on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. YouTube/@notskinnybutnotfat Since the couple, who tied the knot in 1996, started working together on 'Live with Kelly and Mark,' Ripa has pushed for 'night only' intimacy. And the morning talk show's early call time has 'almost repulsed' Consuelos from wanting morning sex. 'It's so early, and it's like a miracle. It's like a miracle has occurred,' the actress quipped. 11 Kelly Ripa opens up about sex on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. YouTube/@notskinnybutnotfat Despite her time of day preference, Ripa views sex like exercise, where being consistent in a routine makes it easier to do. 'The more you do it, the more you do it,' she explained. 'And so, you just have to do it and then you're like, 'Oh, I remember why I like this.'' Ripa also told host Amanda Hirsch her biggest issue when it comes to working with her husband of 30 years. 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos take a selfie in bed. kellyripa/Instagram 'He doesn't listen to me frequently, and he will tune me out while we are live on the air,' the 'All My Children' alum stated. 'And I'm like here's the thing, I'm used to you tuning me out in life, but when you are being paid, highly paid by the way, to literally listen to me, then you have to listen to me.' 'Literally I watch him,' she detailed. 'I watch him drift away. And I'm like, 'Hey don't do that.'' Consuelos officially joined Ripa behind the desk in 2023, after Ryan Seacrest's departure. However, at first, it wasn't easy to get the soap star on board. 11 Kelly Ripa shares a sweet snap with Mark Consuelos. kellyripa/Instagram 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos pose at the beach. kellyripa/Instagram 'It was really convincing Mark,' Ripa recalled. 'Because initially when they came to Mark, he flat out refused.' 'I also thought that was kind of a bad idea,' she confessed. 'I was like a husband and a wife hosting a morning show is different than a husband and wife acting together or producing something together.' But ultimately, his time on the show has been well-received. 11 A throwback picture of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. Kelly Ripa/Instagram 'The audience really responds to Mark because Mark has a gives zero Fs attitude,' Ripa gushed. 'And the audience loves that. There's no artifice with him. If he hates something, he hates it out loud no matter how much we're supposed to love it.' 'And when he thinks something is dumb,' she noted, 'he says it no matter how much we're supposed to pretend to like whatever the thing is.' Being real is one thing Ripa and Consuelos — who share kids Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22 — pride themselves on. 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos smile together on vacation. instasuelos/Instagram 'We have been together for 31 years and we are not afraid to express ourselves publicly, there is no artifice,' the 'Hope & Faith' alum continued. 'We're not worried about protecting each other's feelings. We both just say what is on our minds and I guess people find that relatable.' As Ripa put it, 'I love working with him.' Just last month, the author called out her partner's rigid diet. 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos at the Oscars. It was a side-zip dress, and I kept getting zipped into the dress,' Ripa shared on a June episode of 'Live with Kelly and Mark.' After following Consuelos's super strict, super high protein diet of yogurt, veggies and steak for three days, the dress fit. 'I don't love it, but I ate exactly how you told me to eat, and that dress zipped right up, no side skin,' she explained. 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos at home. kellyripa/Instagram 11 'Live with Kelly and Mark.' 'It's the only time I've listened to Mark about my diet because I typically don't like to do what you're doing,' Ripa went on. 'I just find, you're like, way too disciplined. I can't live that way. But for 72 hours, I can live like Mark Consuelos, so I lived like Mark Consuelos for 72 hours.' 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on their morning talk show. 'When you have a news feed and it says 'Suggest more or suggest this, like this or block this channel,' I'm certain they have blocked any channel with any mention of our names. Just like they block us on social media. They block us any way they can.'

'The Sussexessssss': Oprah Winfrey mocks Montecito neighbours Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over their royal surname
In a moment no one saw coming, Oprah Winfrey has publicly ribbed her Montecito neighbours Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, mocking their continued use of the royal 'Sussex' name despite stepping down from official duties in 2020. Appearing on the podcast Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa on Thursday, the talk show queen made the off-the-cuff quip just months after Meghan corrected actress Mindy Kaling for using her maiden name on an episode of With Love, Meghan. "Do you have chickens in Montecito?" Ripa asked during their chat. "I do not have chickens in Montecito," Oprah replied, "but my neighbour has chickens in Montecito right across the fence, so I get my eggs from her." Ripa then joked that she'd once considered gifting Oprah chickens. "We interviewed (actor) Colman Domingo… And I think he brought you his manuscripts," Ripa said. "And I said, 'That's not what I would've gotten for Oprah… She's in Montecito, so she probably has a chicken coup. I would've gotten her fuzzy chickens'." "Would you have liked that gift?" Ripa asked. "Not particularly," Oprah deadpanned, sparking laughter. "You know what, I would have taken them over to the Susexesssss," she added, dragging out the word for comic effect. She repeated "the Sussexes" once more, again drawing loud laughter from the studio. "My furry chicken would have been royally rehomed," Ripa added, playing along. Meghan's use of her royal title was a hot topic earlier this year when she revealed on her Netflix cooking show that she'd officially taken the surname Sussex. "It's so funny you keep saying Meghan Markle-you know I'm Sussex now," she told Kaling. "You have kids and you go, 'No, I share my name with my children'." The 43-year-old doubled down in an interview with People, saying: "It's our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn't recognised how meaningful that would be to me until we had children. "I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me." Until perhaps now, Oprah had remained one of the couple's most vocal allies, famously hosting their 2021 bombshell tell-all in the garden of their $29 million Montecito estate- complete with the now-iconic chicken coop in the background. Although the Sussexes have only lived in the neighbourhood for five years, their friendship with Oprah spans much longer. The billionaire media mogul even scored an invite to their 2018 royal wedding. Elsewhere in the podcast, Oprah also revealed a "never-before-told" story involving her royal neighbours. "I get a call from Harry, Prince Harry, on Easter Saturday, and he says, 'Sorry to bother you, O, but we have a duck problem here'," she recalled, imitating his British accent. "A duck had come into their yard and laid their eggs and had these chicks. And he said, 'Our pond is a stream, we don't have a pond, so can we bring the ducks over to your pond?'" Oprah agreed but asked him to wait so her best friend, TV personality Gayle King's grandchildren, could witness the scene, but Harry declined. "I said, 'Wait until I can get the kids to come down to the pond so they can see you put the ducks in the pond'. And he goes, 'No, we're coming right away, we're coming over!'" The visit descended into chaos as soon as they arrived. "As he opens the door, the mama duck flies out. And he's got all the baby ducks in a box. We're chasing the mama duck who is in the front yard and has flown to the other side. We've got her ducks. Harry's running after, Meghan gets out, she's running after, chasing the mom and trying to get her to come back to her ducks," Oprah said. "...We have video. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen." Ripa couldn't help but add: "The ducks also hit the jackpot."

Kelly Ripa reveals husband Mark Consuelos' ‘disgusting' morning sex demands
Kelly Ripa is spilling on what goes on behind the closed doors of her and Mark Consuelos' bedroom. The Live with Kelly and Mark host, 54, appeared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, where she explained that she and Consuelos, also 54, don't always agree on when to have sex. 'I don't know about you in your marriage, but I'm going to go personal. Are you an evening person or a morning person?' Ripa asked host Amanda Hirsch. 'Definitely not morning,' Hirsch replied. 'Do not breathe on me in the morning.' Get top headlines and gossip from the world of celebrity and entertainment. Ripa was in agreement but noted that 'men are morning people,' and in particular, Consuelos wants to have sex 'only in the morning,' which the former All My Children star deemed 'disgusting.' She added of her husband of 29 years: 'He'll never learn,' she jokingly added. 'He's a guy.' But Consuelos has had to change his way of thinking after taking over as Kelly's co-host in April 2023. 'I said to him, 'Here's the thing, there needs to be a yin and a yang here. It can't always be your way. 'Cause it feels like 90 per cent of the time it's your way. And now that we work together every day, it's going to have to sometimes be my way, and my way's at night only.'' Ripa added that Consuelos also enjoys kissing her in the morning, which she doesn't love. 'I have a retainer in. I gotta rip that out,' she said. 'And he's got his nasal strips on. It's like we are the most repulsive, disgusting [people].' But Ripa noted that men 'don't care' about things like that and that the 'd*** has a brain of its own.' She jokingly added: 'I'm already pre-disgusted for tomorrow morning.' A post shared by Amanda Hirsch (@notskinnybutnotfat) While Ripa revealed the pair don't have sex every morning, she said there has been an unexpected benefit to working with her husband. 'The greatest thing about this job, this thing has like, almost repulsed him from morning time during the work week, which is like a miracle,' she said. 'May this show last until he suffers from erectile dysfunction,' she jokingly added, pointing out that now that he's in his mid-50s but impotence has yet to be an issue. 'Shouldn't that be happening now? I was promised!' Ripa did share her and Consuelos' secret to keeping things spicy after nearly three decades of marriage. 'It's like exercise. The more you do it, the more you do it,' she said of having sex. 'You just have to do it, and then you're like, 'Oh! I remember why I like this.'' The couple met on the set of All My Children in 1995, started dating shortly after, and tied the knot the following year. They have three children — Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22.
