Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra is back in a striking new avatar with 'Rippan Swaamy'. The recently released trailer offered more insights into the gritty world of Rippan Swaamy. While it was thrilling, it also leaves behind a pinch of since the announcement poster was released, featuring him in an intense look as the titular character, there has been anticipation to see the 'Chinnari Mutha' actor in this grey two-minute, 48-second trailer sets up the mystique around Rippan Swaamy and the fictional Malnad village of Snana Kopa before moving on to establish conflicts and deaths in the village that revolve around him. It ends with a question of loyalty among the characters and what Rippan would choose between victory and life. Watch the trailer here: Directed by Kishor Mudubidire, the trailer showcases Vijay Raghavendra as a gritty villainous character feared and hated by many in his village. The plot summary reads: 'The story unfolds after the mysterious suicide of Rippan Swaamy, leading to a trail of secrets, drama, and suspense,' amplifying the intrigue there are moments in the trailer that invoke scepticism, leaving one to wonder if there is more to the film than what's shown in the trailer or if this was a compilation of its best shots. Several shots look very artificial and staged, which can be distracting, especially in a story like this that requires raw and rooted storytelling to stay Vijay Raghavendra, 'Rippan Swaamy' features Ashwini Chandrasekhar, Prakash Tumminadu, Vajradeer Jain, Yamuna Srinidhi and Mohan Shenyi among music director Samuel Aby has composed the score, while Ranghanath CM and Shashank Narayana have handled cinematography and editing respectively.
