Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Rituraj proves his innocence in the murder case

In the recent episode of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, the drama continued as Rituraj tried to exit the Pradhan house, but Neil once again halted him, questioning him about his Amaravati visit. Neil confronted him squarely and inquired if he had visited the spot where Teju was killed. Rituraj denied having been present near the crime scene and maintained that he hadn't seen Teju after they clashed in college. Jeetu, though, questioned his assertion, recalling Rituraj's earlier deceptions and asked for the absolute truth. Savi then turned up and asserted that she also needed answers and that she would not leave until the truth emerged. Bhushan asked her why she was there, recalling that her senior had forbidden her from entering the house. Savi refused to budge, recalling that nothing could stop her anymore. Neil reminded her of her suspension, asking her to depart, but Savi reacted passionately, insisting she had come for justice for her husband and asked if Neil was blind to her suffering. She then turned to Rituraj and directly asked if he was the one who had killed Teju. Savi revealed that a guitar plectrum with his fingerprints had been found at the murder scene. Rituraj admitted it was his plectrum but insisted he didn't know how it ended up there. On Savi's request, he handed over his phone for inspection. Neil questioned Rituraj to be honest. At last, Rituraj admitted that he had visited Amaravati to meet Teju so that they could reconcile, but she refused. He said he never approached the bus station, where the murder took place. Rather, he said he was with Bhushan that evening due to a medical emergency, in which he called a doctor and fetched medicines. He turned towards Bhushan to confirm, and Bhushan corroborated his account. Savi verified the location information, which agreed that Rituraj had been at home at the time of the murder. Rituraj inquired as to whether they now had faith in his innocence. However, before anyone could even answer, Vinod slapped him with rage, accusing him of shaming Teju's honour. He told Rituraj that the family had taken care of him like their own, even like Neil, but now he had no respect left. Neil didn't utter a word and walked away. Savi provided Neil with a glass of water, which he didn't accept. She then told him that Rituraj was cleared of the suspicion of murder and asked Neil to give her his phone to investigate more. Neil did so, and Savi departed, still wondering who the actual killer could be. The Pradhan family ordered the eviction of Rituraj. While they were throwing him out, he swore vengeance on Neil and vowed to ruin his life. Subsequently, Nandini confronted Neil and apologized for what she had done. She said she couldn't apologize to Teju but implored Neil to forgive her. Amruta regretted no one had listened when Teju attempted to talk, and Jeetu concurred. Neil, filled with remorse, regretted that Teju no longer lived and that she had married him as the worst thing to have happened to her. Leena stood firm. She said Teju had been caught in the act with Rajat and asserted nothing had negated it so far. Neil was amazed at what she said and asked her why she had to be disrespectful to Teju all the time. Leena then mentioned Teju's history with Rituraj, implying she kept their affair a secret, which was suspicious. Neil stood up for Teju, stating she had remained silent just to keep the family peaceful. He admonished Leena that by questioning Teju, she was questioning him too and stated that he could no longer remain in a house where his wife's integrity was brought into question. While other family members insisted that she prevent Neil from leaving, he took the idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati in his hands and stood ready to leave. But just when tensions were at their highest point, Leena suddenly fainted. The family, including Neil, ran to her aid. Savi, meanwhile, came home visibly shaken. Her thoughts were in a whirl about Rajat being accused by Nithin and the intricate puzzle of the double-murder mystery. As she stood there, she heard glass break. Rushing out, she found Bhagyashree on the ground. Savi tried to assist her, but Bhagyashree struggled. Tara and Ridhi supported her as she screamed in agony, convinced that she had broken her leg. Ridhi attempted to console her, reassuring her it could possibly be a sprain. Bhagyashree, weeping, declared she couldn't live without Rajat. Meanwhile, in the Pradhan residence, Neil attended to Leena. After she came to, she wept and begged Neil to remain, declaring she couldn't live without him. Neil, touched by her plea, acquiesced to remain. The family breathed their collective relief as peace returned to the household for a brief moment.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Savi confronts Rituraj over Teju's murder

Tonight's episode of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin starts on a high note of tension with Rituraj attempting to exit, but Neil once again preventing him from doing so. Neil wants answers for his visit to Amaravati and bluntly asks if Rituraj was close to where Teju had been killed. Rituraj clarifies that he was nowhere near the scene of the crime and had not seen Teju since their college meeting. Jeetu, in doubt, accuses Rituraj of not telling the truth and demands the complete truth. Savi arrives, resolute and ferocious. She announces she won't go until she receives answers. Bhushan questions her visit, reminding her that her superior had prohibited her from coming. Savi remains firm, announcing nothing can deter her now. Neil reminds her of her suspension, but Savi, close to tears, informs him she's here for justice—for her husband. She queries Neil's capacity to witness her suffering. Turning to Rituraj, Savi bluntly asks if he killed Teju. Rituraj denies it and pleads innocence, wondering why everyone suspects him. Savi reveals that a guitar plectrum found at the crime scene had his fingerprints. Rituraj admits the plectrum is his but says he doesn't know how it got there. On Savi's request, he hands over his phone for inspection. Neil presses him to tell the truth. Rituraj eventually owns up to having gone to Amaravati to make amends with Teju, but she did not accept him. He vows never to have gone near the bus stand where the killing occurred. Rather, he says he spent the night with Bhushan as he was not well and even called in a doctor and retrieved medicine. Bhushan corroborates his account. Savi examines the location data on his phone, which is corroborative. Rituraj queries whether they now trust him. Abruptly, Vinod slaps him, angry that he tarnished Teju's dignity. He reminds Rituraj that they welcomed him home like family, like Neil, but now he's lost respect. Neil is quiet and turns away. Savi gives him a glass of water, but he doesn't take it. She ensures that Rituraj is no longer suspected of murder and requests Neil to give his phone for the investigations. Neil does so, and Savi departs, still unsure who the actual killer is. Meanwhile, at the Pradhan household, the family makes the decision to throw Rituraj out. While he's being thrown out, he swears vengeance on Neil and says he'll destroy his life. Subsequently, Nandini goes to Neil and apologizes for her behavior. She tells him she can't seek forgiveness from Teju but implores Neil to forgive her. Amruta wishes that nobody listened to Teju when she wanted to say something. Jeetu concurs that they all deprived her of an opportunity. Neil, filled with remorse, tells Teju's death will continue haunting him forever—that marrying him was the worst thing that had befallen her. Leena, though, is unfazed. She blames Teju for being discovered in a compromising situation with Rajat and maintains nothing has refuted it. Neil is outraged and wonders how she continues to sully Teju's name. Leena mentions Teju's history with Rituraj, labeling her silence as suspicious. Neil comes to the defense of his wife, stating she remained quiet to preserve family peace. Leena does not want to trust Teju, so Neil tells her that if she does not trust Teju, she doesn't trust him either. He leaves the house. Some of the other members of the family try to stop him, but Neil takes the idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati and exits, stating that he cannot reside in a house where his wife has been dishonoured. At that moment, Leena fainted, and everyone rushes to her help. Back at home, however, Savi is in distress. Nithin's accusations against Rajat get stuck in her head. While she agonizes over cracking the double murder puzzle, a sudden noise of glass breaking alarms her. She rushes out to see Bhagyashree lying on the ground. Tara and Ridhi assist her in getting up as Bhagyashree exclaims in pain that her leg is broken. Ridhi attempts to reassure her, telling her it was probably just a sprain. Through tears, Bhagyashree says she misses Rajat terribly.

Woman found hanging in Jamshedpur hotel room; police probing suicide or foul play

Ranchi: A young woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a hotel room under Sakchi police station limits in Jamshedpur on Monday, police officials said. Police are investigating whether it was a case of suicide or if the woman was murdered and her body staged. The deceased has been identified as Rukhsana, a resident of Azad Basti in Jamshedpur. Her body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have detained two men, a woman, the hotel owner, and the manager for questioning. According to initial reports, a call was received on Monday morning reporting a suspected suicide in room number 506 of Hotel El Dorado in the Aam Bagan area. Sakchi police and City DSP reached the scene and launched a probe. Investigations revealed that on Sunday night, two rooms -- 504 and 506 -- were rented by a group comprising two men and two women. The men have been identified as Rituraj and Pankaj, both residents of Rajendra Nagar under Sakchi police station limits. The second woman is a resident of Mango locality. Several liquor bottles and objectionable items were recovered from the room where Rukhsana's body was found. According to police, the woman detained claimed that she had met Rukhsana on Instagram and had been invited by her for a party. However, none of the three individuals have provided a clear account of the circumstances leading to Rukhsana's death. City DSP said that the hotel owner and manager, who allegedly allotted rooms without verifying IDs, are also being interrogated. He added that the case would be solved soon. In another incident, two unidentified youths were found murdered near Balsiring bridge in Ranchi's Dhurwa police station area late on Sunday night. Their throats had been slit. Police reached the spot after receiving a tip-off and recovered the bodies, which were sent to RIMS for post-mortem. DSP of Hatia, Pramod Kumar Mishra, said the bodies were found a short distance from the main road in a desolate area. No one from the local crowd that gathered on Monday morning could identify the victims. Police suspect the murders took place elsewhere and the bodies were dumped at the location. Photographs of the deceased have been circulated to all police stations in Ranchi and adjoining districts. Authorities are also checking for any missing person reports matching the victims' descriptions.

Bengal CM Mamata announces ex-gratia for fire victims in Kolkata

Kolkata, Apr 30 (UNI) Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia for the victims of the Kolkata fire, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said that the state government would provide ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. 'State Government will give an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured persons will get 50,000 each,' the Chief Minister wrote on her X handle. 'Continuing to monitor the fallout of the unfortunate fire incident at a private hotel (Rituraj) in the BurraBazar area and appreciate the Fire Services' and police efforts in rescuing around 99 persons from out of most adverse circumstances,' she wrote. Reiterating my condolences and solidarity, Mamata wrote, 'Also thankful to the local people for their cooperation and help in rescue operations. It has been preliminarily reported to me that those who died were victims of suffocation/ jumping etc. Further investigations are going on.' The announcement comes shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of 14 lives in a fire at Burrabazar in Kolkata's central business district and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the PMNRF (Prime Minister National Relief Fund). 'Anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Kolkata. Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon,' the Prime Minister wrote on his official X handle. 'An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000,' he added. Earlier, the Chief Minister, who was in Digha for the inauguration of the newly constructed Jagannath Temple, contacted Mayor Firhad Hakim and the Kolkata Police Commissioner to inquire about the tragic fire. In a message shared on her X handle, she expressed her sorrow, stating, "My heart goes out to the victims of the fire incident that occurred at a private hotel (Rituraj) in the BurraBazar area." Mamata mentioned that she had been closely monitoring the rescue and firefighting operations throughout the night and had mobilized additional fire brigade services to the area. In one of the most devastating fires in recent memory, 14 people lost their lives on Tuesday night at a hotel near Falpatti Machhua in Burrabazar, central Kolkata. Preliminary investigation has revealed that those killed were not burned but were choked by the thick smoke within the building. Kolkata police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter. BJP, however criticised the Chief Minister for her insensitivity. ''Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already announced Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. In contrast, the state government remains silent. Twelve hours after the fire broke out, the words of condolence from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee appear insincere and insensitive,' BJP IT chief and co-incharge for Bengal Amit Malviya had written on his X handle.
