Alabama listed among finalists for top 2026 basketball prospect
NEWS: 2026 Top-25 recruit Chris Washington Jr. is down to seven schools, he tells @ 6-8 small forward is the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Tennessee. According to a report from Rivals' Joe Tipton, the Alabama Crimson Tide have been listed among the list of teams who are still in the mix for top 2026 basketball prospect Chris Washington Jr.. Washington is now reportedly down to seven finalists, according to Tipton, listing Alabama alongside the Auburn Tigers, Cincinnati Bearcats, Florida A&M Rattlers, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, and Villanova Wildcats. At the moment, Washington is currently considered as the nation's No. 23 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 10 small forward nationally. A five-star prospect, Washington is also considered as the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee, attending Providence Christian Academy. Alabama does not currently have a player committed in their 2026 class. Top Class of 2026 recruit Jenica Lewis sets an official visit to Notre Dame
NEWS: Top 2026 recruit Jenica Lewis has set four official visits, she told @ No. 17 recruit in the class will visit UNC, Notre Dame, Duke and broke down those programs + her previous OV to (+): Top Class of 2026 shooting guard Jenica Lewis has set four official visits, and South Bend is one of her planned destinations. The five-star recruit, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, will visit North Carolina, Notre Dame, Duke and Kentucky. The 5-foot-10 Johnston (Johnston, IA) product was named as a member of the Des Moines Register's 2025 all-Iowa girls basketball team this past season after helping lead her school to a second-straight Class 5A state championship. Lewis averaged 18 points, 3.5 steals and 3.4 assists per game as she led the Dragons in total points, assists and steals in 2024-25. She most recently had an official visit to Oregon, but now her calendar is starting to get a little more filled as several power programs would love to gain her commitment.
