Summer is when outdoor concerts in Louisville and around southern Indiana get into full swing — many of which are free to attend. All you need is a comfy picnic blanket and a relaxing lawn chair, and maybe a friend or two.

Where: Bicentennial Park at the corner of Spring and Pearl streets (118 E. Spring St.), New Albany.

Where: Sonny Brewster Bandstand, 109 E. Court Ave., Jeffersonville, Indiana.
What else: 7 p.m. Fridays. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Ice cream from Pearl Street Treats will be available for purchase. Presented by Jeffersonville Main Street and the Jeffersonville Parks Department.
