Drake cancels his concert at Manchester's Co-op Live arena due to 'travel logistics' after disappointing fans at Wireless festival

Drake has cancelled his live gig at Manchester's Co-op Live arena due to 'travel logistics and unforeseen ferry schedule'. The Canadian singer, 38, was set to perform at the iconic venue on Monday amid his Some Special Shows 4 U tour. The Ten Bands hitmaker's performance has now been rescheduled for August 5, with organisers ensuring 'all tickets remain valid for the new date'. A statement on the arena's website read: 'Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow's performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled.' It added: 'The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it's set to be an unforgettable night.' The RnB star had already played two shows in the city on Friday and Saturday, while he will be soon back on stage for another gig at the arena on August 4. MailOnline has contacted Drake's representatives for a comment. His unexpected news comes after the Headlines rapper took to the stage of the legendary Wireless festival in London earlier this month. He reportedly threw a star-studded party on Saturday night following his second day performing leaving him 'looking tired' for his final set on Sunday. Drake disappointed fans after only appearing on stage for 40 minutes during his final performance at the festival. Eventually The Sun claimed that Drake 'probably needed some extra sleep' after partying until 6am at Mr Porter in Mayfair. There were loads of celebs in attendance, including Casey Affleck, Sacha Baron Cohen, and OnlyFans star Lily Phillips. A source told the publication: 'After his back-to-back shows on Friday and Saturday, Drake had a party. 'He hired out Mr Porter in Mayfair and was seen arriving around midnight. 'The party went on all through the early hours of Sunday morning, with Drake finally heading home not long before 6am. 'Drake looked a bit tired when he came out with some of his entourage.' It comes after his three-day Wireless Festival residency ended in complete chaos as thousands of fans blasted the festival as 'dangerous' when they were forced to queue for hours and in huge crowds of people. As the rapper appeared on stage 10 minutes early, thousands of British festival goers were left 'disappointed' as they failed to enter London's Finsbury Park for the show. In videos shared on TikTok , festival goers were stood shoulder-to-shoulder pleading with security to let them in because they had tickets for the day. However, it wasn't just general admission that was facing large queues, as VIP guests told MailOnline that they had been forced to wait up to 'three hours' by security before coming to the conclusion they were not going to be let in and headed home. One guest attempting to get in said: 'We arrived at the guest/VIP entrance to the festival at 5:30pm and the queue was massive, but we joined and hoped it would go down quick. We ended up waiting for over two hours and we still weren't in the festival. 'When I asked security what was going on and if we would even get in for Drake coming on stage they said they couldn't give us a time, but said it would be at least another half an hour. 'Everyone was starting to get angry, and people were just pushing past the security. It felt dangerous and so we decided it was better to leave, meaning we didn't even get to see inside the festival. 'It was so disappointing that the festival had invited all these people down and then treated us like that. No staff members were willing to come out and speak to us to help the situation.'

Olivia Rodrigo at Glastonbury 2025: start time and everything you need to know

The Sunday night at Glastonbury is a hard one to get right. Previous years have seen Elton John, Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran close the festival. But Emily Eavis was criticised in 2024 for putting SZA in the final headline slot, as the RnB singer drew in an unusually small crowd. In 2025, the final night is set to be headlined by pop-punk superstar Olivia Rodrigo, who started out on Disney Channel but shot to fame in 2021 after releasing her debut album SOUR, filled with angsty songs about breakups and being a young woman. Want to see her at Glastonbury? Here's everything you need to know. When is Olivia Rodrigo headlining Glastonbury 2025? The 'good 4 u' singer is playing the Sunday night at Glastonbury, headlining the festival on June 29. What time will Olivia Rodrigo play the Pyramid stage? Olivia will be on stage from 9.45pm to 11.15pm. What's been said about the setlist so far? Olivia doesn't have an official setlist, however in recent shows she has been playing covers of Fontaines DC and Talking Heads. Based on one of her latest shows, this is what Olivia Rodrigo's set could look like: obsessed ballad of a homeschooled girl vampire drivers license traitor bad idea right? love is embarrassing pretty isn't pretty happier enough for you so american jealousy, jealousy favorite crime deja vu brutal all-american bitch good 4 u get him back! Will any guests be joining Olivia Rodrigo's set? Nothing is confirmed, but special guests are highly likely. Olivia brought out Talking Heads' David Byrne during her set at Governors Ball festival in New York earlier this summer. Let's hope Glasto gets someone just as good. Has Olivia Rodrigo ever played at Glastonbury before? Yes. Olivia played the Other Stage in 2022 and brought out special guest Lily Allen to sing 'F*** You'.

Feature Video: The Kid LAROI - How Does It Feel?

'How Does It Feel?' asks Unearthed superstar, and accomplished rizzler, The Kid LAROI in this week's super-smooth 2000s RnB throwback of a Feature Video. And the feeling in question? Reality melting in and out of existence, when you've found the only person at the party to focus on. "SUMMER STARTS THIS FRIDAY…" shouts Laroi, a.k.a the Kamilaroi artist known as Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard. Presumably he's referencing the Northern Hemisphere's warmer months, and not the uninsulated frostscape that is presently refridgerating his Australian listeners, but that doesn't stop 'How Does It Feel?' from being a heater of an RnB track. It also brings with it aesthetics and lyrical content that are decidedly on the more mature end of the spectrum of human emotions, suggesting that this kid is maturing as an artist (might we perhaps suggest The MAN Laroi?). Directed by Los Angeles' own Calmatic, the man responsible for Lil Nas X' 'Old Town Road', Kendrick Lamar's 'Squabble Up', and Anderson .Paak's 'Bubblin', and too many more bangers to mention. This guy brings some serious filmmaking credentials to the party, and while we're talking party, let's just address this little soirée for your imagination; hosted at the illustrious Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, The Kid LAROI shows off his dance moves and mad rizz, while Calmatic visualises what it's like to just let reality fade out, and let desire take over. Talking to FLAUNT Magazine, LAROI says he was listening to a lot of random early 2000s and old R&B stuff at the time of 'How Does It Feel?'s conception. 'Kind of happy, but it still has that emotion to it, you know? It's not, like, frolicking through a bunch of flowers.' Creating 'happy' music is definitely terrain less traversed by the artist, who says 'I've just always correlated happy music with being kind of cheesy for some reason… the easy thing about making sad music is… It's so much easier to tap into an emotion when a sad chord is played…When happy chords are played, it's just harder for me to find melodies on top.' 'How do you know if what you're singing is bullshit?' Well, Kid, when it comes to summer love, we're all just a little bit foolish—and honestly, that's what makes it so damn irresistible.

Craig David on 7 Days, selling mixtapes, and his love of performing in Southampton

Craig David has a notoriously busy week, but luckily made time to talk to the Echo about his homecoming show this weekend. The Southampton local who shot to fame overnight in the early 2000s has long graced the RnB scene. He consistently champions is home city too, previously backing the bid for Southampton to be UK City of Culture and praising the pool of local musical talent. The 44-year-old singer, songwriter and DJ said he feels a 'flood of nostalgia' every time he reaches the roundabout at the top of The Avenue on approach to Southampton. 'The feeling of being home just hits every single time…being able to wrap that all up and bring it to the stage is important', he said. 'Specifically in Southampton, some of my tunes and songs mean a lot to people if I play them, for example my first song with Artful Dodger, that would mean a lot. 'People will say 'I remember when he did it on the mixtape and used to sell it at the barbers'. 'I am very excited and I never take the big hug and the love I get every time I come back to Southampton for granted.' David will be taking to the Summer Sessions stage on Guildhall Square on Saturday night, a big event that is proving popular year on year. READ MORE: Rag 'n' Bone Man opens Southampton Summer Sessions with a bang But for David, showcasing local talent is better than ever thanks to all the music venues in the city. He described the music industry as very 'London centric' in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He added: 'Growing up in Southampton I had the time and space to nurture my sound. 'We were on the pulse in being so close to London, which is why I think the music scene growing in Southampton was so poignant as it opened up the floodgates for musicians in other cities. 'The scene now in Southampton is thriving.' Speaking on his headliner gig on Saturday night, David said he is 'adamant' that he always wants to bring his classic songs to the stage, including 7 Days, the same way they were recorded. 'As it will be a TS5 DJ set, it will give me the freedom to interject with the original, do a remix, throw in an instrumental from another song, which is going back to what I did when I was DJ'ing on the south coast and making mixtapes in my bedroom', he said. And on the subject of 7 Days, it felt right to ask if, writing the song now, whether he would change any of the activities 25 years since its release. He said: 'That song lives in the space of me being 17 years old, looking out my bedroom window, thinking how my life would go down. 'It is the gift that keeps giving.' 'I was not being overtly vulgar in that song – I lived with my mum and had my grandma around so I needed it to have a filter and be cool', David joked.
